What will the successful candidate be doing?


To be accountable to the Project Performance Manager for the delivery of the FMSP Asset Management function, Minor Project Delivery and Performance function.
To support the Project Performance Manager in the development of minor and non-complex projects to include but not limited to: Project Initiation Documentation, Business Case Compilation, Scoping, Site Visits, Review of Tender Documentation, Hand Over and Asset Registration activities.
In direct support of the Project Performance Manager, provide the discrete Intelligent Customer (IC) role for the Estates Intelligent Customer function with Babcock and Interserve principally executed through the Future Maritime Support programme (FMSP) contract. (See Generic IC ToRs in the IC Handbook)
Ensure Management Information (MI), Reports and contract deliverables are met in accordance with the FMSP Statement of Technical Requirement (SOTR), associated SOTR Annexes and contract schedules, engaging the Nuclear Design & Maintenance (NDM) group where deliverables impact NDM managed assets.
Work with the Project Performance Manager, to enable the Deputy Estate Manager (NB Estate) to create a “one team” approach to FMSP contract management.
Under the direction of the Project Performance Manager, work with the IP to ensure expected contract performance and value for money in the delivery of the contract.
Develop, manage and maintain the project data area to ensure the Deputy Estates Manager (NB Estate) and Estates Manager 1 have a true reflection of project delivery performance against the estate and associated KPIs.

Responsibility for People Management: To be responsible for contributing to the planning, monitoring, and evaluating of patient centred care. Reporting back to the registered nurse and escalating concerns as required. Following a Registered Nurse or Assistant Practitioners assessment of need the post holder will then implement a planned programme of care, with the support of a Registered Nurse. Where appropriate, to organise hospital records upon delivery ensuring they are available to the correct clinician. Using the appropriate clinical systems to track and trace and returning when completed.Responsibility for people who use our services: To provide appropriate support and advice to family and carers, demonstrating tact and sensitivity in dealing with complex and sensitive information and negotiating a positive outcome. Act as a patient advocate as required ensuring individual needs, preferences and choices are delivered by the Service. Staff members may need to exert moderate physical effort during their daily shifts, such as handling patients, dressing wounds, and performing diagnostics, which may involve bending, kneeling, and lifting limbs or heavy objects like buckets of water, requiring manual handling and equipment Use of moving and handling equipment including hoists and other lifting equipment often in a confined space in the patients home on difficult floor surfaces e.g. carpet. At each visit staff risk assess the need to move light furniture in patients home to allow nursing procedures to be carried out often within a confined space. Regularly carry and transport equipment e.g. Nursing bag, documentation, laptop, observation equipment. There may be a requirement for active participation in physical activity such as pulmonary rehabilitation.Mental Effort: Continuously interrupted, multi-tasking e.g. writing notes, answering mobile telephone call. In this role, as an Senior IT Service Manager you will drive analysis and resolution of complex issues, enlisting support and escalating where appropriate to relevant IT service functions as part of one of the biggest IT estates in the UK.

As a Senior IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and value-driven support for digital products and services that are used by millions of people and around 100,000 DWP colleagues.

Your role is all about making that service levels meet agreed targets, managing end to end service performance, and overseeing contracts with third party suppliers.

You'll monitor third-party supplier compliance with SLAs through regular reporting and analysis, ensuring services meet user requirements and deliver value for money.

We're hiring you because you are good at what you do, and you can make us better. You will share your data domain knowledge and experience to drive IT strategy, including defining the tools and techniques most appropriate for the environment.

You will also:

• Set objectives, oversee junior team members, and delegate service management tasks, acting as a point of escalation.

• Implement ongoing service improvements aligned with quality, risk, and security standards.

• Ensure that new or updated products are smoothly integrated into live service with adequate support and meet customer expectations.

Additional Duties:

On-Call Support: Provide out of hours major incident support on a 24/7 rota basis (on-call payments apply)

The skills and experience you need:

• Proven IT service management experience, preferably within a framework such as ITIL.
• Strong stakeholder management, with a history of successful collaboration and negotiation.
• Independent capability in managing digital products/services and reporting.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in service delivery and customer support.
• Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Knowledge of Notification and Document Repository services is beneficial

Preferred Qualification:
