As our Supplies Administration Apprentice, you will be busy assisting the Finance, Procurement and Stores team in the procurement of goods and services and the distribution of supplies to the whole of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. You will undertake various administrative duties, including ordering and receipting goods, arranging returns, payment of invoices, liaising with suppliers and ensuring accurate records are kept and stored in line with statutory requirements.

Other duties will include assisting with the issue of uniform and personal protective equipment to new and existing firefighters and staff, issuing general stock items to headquarters and our stations across Lancashire, answering enquiries from staff or queries from suppliers on a range of issues in a timely and professional manner, and assisting with input on, and maintenance of our stock control system amongst other things.

The successful applicant will have 5 GCSEs (A-C or 4-9), or equivalent and preferably including maths and English language. Applicants who do not hold maths and English qualifications must undertake Functional Skills tests as part of the apprenticeship.

You will be expected to have great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team. With high standards of accuracy and numeracy, you will be familiar with Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook and be willing to develop new skills and knowledge. The ability to plan and organise yourself and your workload in order to meet deadlines is essential, as is the ability to keep yourself and others safe in the workplace using your understanding of the importance of health and safety and inclusivity.

The apprenticeship agreement is for approximately 16 months and is for completion of Business Administration Level 3. It will be undertaken within the workplace and on-line via Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams, with an on-line coaching session taking place every 4 weeks to assess and support progress.

What you will do 

Johnson Controls is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems. What you will do        

Under direct supervision, tracks and provides direct support for the planned service agreement renewal process. Actively participates in accounts receivable activities such as collections and new customer authorizations. Provides back up customer call handling, as needed. Provides administrative, day to day support in the service operational areas.

How you will do it

1. May be responsible for the scheduling, tracking, and monitoring of the touch point plans and the contract renewal life cycle process with the account owners. Escalate issues to appropriate individuals for timely follow-up as required. May require direct interaction with customers for follow-up to secure purchase orders or to meet special invoicing conditions. 

2. Updates the Service delivery plans as required by team. 

3. Runs query reports, researches, and reconciles unaligned costs, such as labor hours, material purchases, expenses and other service-related transactions. 

4. May prepare and submit service billings in a special invoice format as defined by individual customer account special handling requirements. 

5. Reconciliation of accounts payable exceptions as necessary. 

6. Researches, resolves, or escalates accounts receivable disputes as outlined in the escalation process. Works with Accounts Receivables contact to assist with resolution of truck-based team A/R issues. Determines appropriate actions for timely resolution. If needed, will interact with Customer to resolve receivable issues. Processes invoice credits and re-bills, as necessary. Proactively contacts customers ensure customer satisfaction and a commitment to pay. 

7. Updates and retains customer account information related to special billing conditions, tax status, invoice approval contacts, billing addresses and special billing rates up to date. 

8. Support inventory control process including updating equipment asset transactions. 

9. Assist CSAs in resolution of warranty/SD warranty issues. 

10. Provide additional service administration support, as required.

What you will do: 

Service Technicians diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems, electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.  

How you will do it:

Field Technical Service Representative

Description -

This customer facing, non-exempt HP Printer field break/fix position provides a wide range of hardware support and related services specifically to HP’s Print Products customers. This position will be based onsite at the customer in the Sacramento, CA Area. This is not a remote position. Valid CA drivers license is required.  This is a team-based group of self-starting, technical/mechanical delivery professionals. Each member of the team performs installation, repair and relocates various types of HP printers and related technology on customer sites, within a defined geography.  A fast paced, constantly changing environment that requires positive approaches and demonstrated success at handling multiple stressors. Candidates must be self-contained, resourceful and determined for success.

This ever changing environment presents each team member with various daily events that educate customers about the technology, manage critical service events, and interact with multiple levels of both HP and customer management/teams. These teams are responsible for completely satisfied customers and helping to grow HP’s business in a profitable manner and within budget. It is imperative that the Field Service Rep. understands the financial aspects and business impact of what they deliver, how and why. Typical types of reactive, on customer site, service events include, but are not limited to: Configuring hardware, software and simple network components, install, unit repair, and working with escalation personal performing and assisting in technical action plans to remediate print issues

Demonstrated core competencies of success in this position are:
