Working for an established and expanding provider of care and support to adults with severe learning disabilities and complex needs we are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join their team.

The role:

• As a Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for the running of the shifts and supporting the Support Workers.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the shifts, providing support to adults with learning disabilities supporting with daily living skills, personal care needs, administering medications
• Supervisions of staff, 1-1s,
• Accurate report writing and updating records
• Adhering to policies and procedures and dealing with any safeguarding concerns
• On call duties
• Working on a rota basis which will include the hours of between 8am - 22.00.

Ideal candidate:

• Someone with experience of working within a similar setting supporting adults with complex needs and learning disability.
• Supervisory experience and flexible to work on a rota basis
• Flexible to work on call and occasional weekends
• Pro active and with a positive attitude
• Willingness to undertake any training and team players.
• Car drivers with own vehicles
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent

Are you seeking a new challenge within a leadership and management role, managing a service for adults with learning disability and autism? Do you want to work for an established and expanding provider of support to individuals with a learning disability and autism?

The role:

• To lead and manage a team of people within a residential setting for adults with a learning disability and autism.
• To be part of a professional and person centred organisation who strive to provide the highest quality of care for the individuals being supported.
• Ensuring all staff are provided with their training and development plans, staff management, rotas, support planning.
• To lead and motivate the team to ensure they provide the best possible outcomes for the people being supported and in a person centred way.
• Attend, chair meetings, liaising with other professionals and agencies.
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures and work within CQC legislation and frameworks.

The ideal person:

• A strong leader with experience of managing services for people with learning disability, autism, mental health, challenging behaviours.
• Proactive, self motivated and with a can -do and positive approach to your daily work.
• Honest and integrity and with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
• Flexible to work on a rota basis where needed and with some travel to other sites if required.
• Level 5 in Leadership & Management or willingness to complete this.
