32 hrs and 55 mins pw, Monday to Friday inclusive. Term time plus five training days.
We’re looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant, based within our SEN Department at Co-op Academy Grange.
● You’ll find this job rewarding as you will help make a difference to the lives of young people by providing in classroom support for students
● You’ll deliver interventions to individuals or small groups, particularly for students with special educational needs
● You’ll work under the guidance of the SENDCo and Inclusion Manager to deliver special educational needs interventions for individual (and groups of) students
● You’ll assist the SENDCo and Inclusion Managers with the development and implementation of student learning plans and help provide individual pastoral support to pupils
● You’ll do this by developing constructive relationships with individuals and responding to their individual needs, whilst acting as a role model
● Support the assessment of pupils to determine those in need of particular help and support.
It is essential you have experience of working with young people with special educational needs. Experience of behaviour management or physical intervention is also essential.
You’ll have a NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification, and be willing to learn a range of new skills. If you meet these criteria and have good communication skills we would love to hear from you.
