The governors at Dore Primary School wish to appoint an experienced and qualified EYFS lead (TLR 2A) to start from January 2025.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher and leader with drive and ambition for themselves and the children at Dore Primary School and Pre-School. Experience of teaching in Early Years is essential. An expertise in and a passion for Forest Schools would be advantageous. The successful candidate will work with both the Foundation Stage 2 and Pre-School teams as well as senior leaders on the leadership team They will contribute to whole school improvements and fulfil duties within the safeguarding team. The postholder will also forge meaningful links with Y1. As a Rights Respecting School, we value the contributions that each individual has to make to the community and seek a willingness from applicants to contribute to this well-established ethos within the school.

The successful applicant will:

• Have recent experience of teaching and learning in an EYFS setting with a deep understanding and knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Lead the strategic implementation of the EYFS framework across our Pre-School and Foundation Stage 2.
• Be responsible for maintaining high standards in Pre-School and Foundation Stage 2 including modelling these high standards in your own teaching practice (teaching in one of these year groups will be required).
• Contribute to whole school improvement as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Be ready to strategically drive our EYFS forward with an expertise in outdoor learning environments and an interest in the Forest School ethos.

The successful candidate will join a very busy team providing support to learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be organised and able to remain calm in a busy environment. Strong IT skills specifically in Microsoft Office are essential. Training will be provided on our management information system. The successful candidate will be a team player with a proactive approach to work. Owing to the nature of the role, an ability to relate to the Academy’s students is crucial. Support staff are vital within any UTC and we are looking for a KS3/4 Learning Manager. You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of support services in a fast paced, student-focused environment where conflicting demands are the norm. This is an exciting opportunity to work over two secondary academies; Sheffield Park Academy and Sheffield Springs Academy.

The successful candidate will have responsibility in overseeing the efficient and effective HR service for each academy in-line with United Learning’s policies and procedures. The delivery of successful output is agreed with each academy and the Executive Business Manager (the post-holder’s line manager).

This role requires a highly focussed individual who is organised and passionate about making a difference in our academies and for the local community. At times and especially during busy periods the post-holder will have to contribute to the administration and therefore a hands-on approach is essential.

Ideally applicants will have a formal CIPD qualification however, extensive experience is crucial to this role. Candidates must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and a team player.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of line managing a team or as a minimum the ability to demonstrate effective and supportive line management skills.
