About the Role

At The School of Engineering, an opportunity has become available for two full time English teachers, to work with our 16-18-year-old Engineering students, at The Printworks campus. Our ideal candidate will be able to deliver engaging, innovative and creative English lessons that incorporate Engineering and motor vehicle concepts. We are a department that nurture and develop those new to teaching as well as more experienced teachers.

What You Will Do

• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
• Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
• Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
• Be responsible for recording student progress.
• Maintain and update knowledge of the subject and / or vocational area.

About You

• Must have a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) and a relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject - English.
• Up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
• Previous experience of delivering teaching in relevant subject areas (PGCE teaching placements/experience would also qualify here) which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
• Experience of positively managing student progression, advice and guidance in a school or Further Education setting
• Experience of setting appropriate SMART targets to ensure progression of learners
• Ability to plan and deliver quality teaching across identified modules
• Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum
• Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of a dynamic nursing workforce team in delivering a highly effective service across region.

Leading on work which supports the delivery of a safe sustainable and expanded nursing, midwifery and AHP workforce related to international recruitment within the context of the CNO/CMiDO Strategy and NHS long-term workforce plan.

The successful candidate will be a registered midwife with current clinical labour ward experience or able to demonstrate comprehensive up-to-date clinical skills. The post leads on both the development and the delivery of all aspects of midwifery international recruitment, including the regions flagship NMC intensive midwifery OSCE training programme and other national programmes which support providers in the developing internal maternity OSCE training programmes.

Salary Progression

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £50,952, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.

Job Summary

Accountable for the identification, development and training needs for the Customer Service organization by consulting with the leaders of Enterprise Operations, Market and Product Development, Product Administration and the other business units (e.g. Medicaid, Individual). Will design, develop, implement and deliver curriculum to meet the current and future needs of Customer Service. This will include instructor led as well as e-learning (e.g. Computer Based Training). DIRECTION EXERCISED:
Will be responsible for mentoring Customer Service Training Specialist, Supervisors, Leads and Coordinators.

Essential Functions

• Develops, implements and evaluates educational / training strategies, including such methodologies as coaching, facilitation, developmental experience, and mentoring.

• Research, assess and analyze employee / CS organizational structure, needs and processes, utilizing available information and soliciting additional information through focus groups, interviews, and consultation with CS leadership team and business analysts, etc.

• Complete detailed needs analysis and redesign training flows and methods for delivery for both foundation/core and product specific (e.g. PPO, H.S.A., etc.) training. Review of existing curriculum and determine appropriateness of “student-lead” e-learning versus Instructor-led training.

• Create facilitator guides with Trainer checklists.

• Create scenario/case study exercises, quizzes, role play activities.

• Develop certifications process and tools for new hire and refresher training.

• Build a Trainer toolbox with facilitation aids and conduct Train The Trainer (T3) sessions demonstrating adult learning techniques.

• Seeks and hires vendors and manages participant’s timeliness and budgets to develop CBT’s, videos or tutorials.

• Implement a training approach that is consistent, flexible, relatable, hands-on, scalable and fun utilizing adult learning techniques.

• Develop and administer feedback mechanisms with learners, leads and supervisors after 60 days in the job to create process improvements and continuously refine content and approach.

• Work closely with Customer Service leadership and Quality Assurance team to support improvement of consumer experience related to survey feedback.

• Review all misquotes and management review cases and perform root cause analysis (RCA) and make process improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or other related field (or equivalent)

• 5 years of relevant experience experience in developing and implementing organizations-wide learning curriculum.

• One of the following certifications:

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - AHIMA American Health Information Management Association Coding or

• Certified Professional Coder - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders Coding or

• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) or

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - AAPC American Academy of Professional Coders or
