- Operates several complex work stations or a portion of a large fuel storage and dispensing system to transfer fuel to aircraft and refuelers.
- Receives incoming petroleum fuel and cryogenic product shipments by truck, tank car, or pipeline.

As a Maintenance Mechanic WG-4749-10, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

• Independently apply skilled methods, techniques, and advanced shop mathematics to construct, install, repair, and modify a wide variety of structures. Works on projects such as building frames, rafters, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door and window frames, interior and exterior trim, and other miscellaneous items.
• Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Uses and maintains tools and equipment.
• Perform masonry tasks involved in the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Lays bricks, firebricks, cement/glass blocks, tile, terra cotta, and artificial and natural stones.
• Plan and lays out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the construction and maintenance of installation facilities. Reviews work order requirements reflecting structures to be constructed, installed, modified, altered, or repaired.
• Develop patterns, cuts, forms, joins, assembles, and installs items and systems which have combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles, and planes. Uses complicated shop mathematics to calculate irregular curves, angles, and pitch. Applies principles of radial-line development combined with parallel-line development to devise and calculate patterns.

• Facilitate, plan, and ensure progress and completion of a post-secondary student support services grant project from initial phase to grant closure.
• Maintain on-going monitoring of grant funds and expenditures to ensure grant target areas are met.

1. Supervises and leads three or more emergency vehicle dispatchers in the performance of emergency 911-call receiving and providing emergency dispatching services.
2. Responds to emergency 911-call by providing emergency dispatching services. Determines the nature of the emergency in accordance with established guidelines.
3. Performs Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) services to callers with medical emergencies.
4. Maintains maps, checklists and charts, including automated programs. Maintains a current automated outage status file and ensures oncoming senior fire officials receive current outage reports.
5. Operates and maintains telephones, automated data processing equipment, printers, recorders, facsimile equipment, and other devices installed in the dispatch center.
6. Prepares and maintains reports and records relating to emergency responses.
