Processes annually more than 4 million pieces of official and personnel mail at three official mail centers JBSA Ft Sam Houston, Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB Official Mail Centers (OMC), six postal service centers, Randolph Postal Service Center (PSC), Lackland Postal Service Centers (PSC #2, #3 and #7) and a Student Mail Center (SMC) and Benner Barracks at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston.
• Accountable Mail: To provide accountability and control of classified communications; to provide document security services; and to provide office automation and clerical support for the Operations Flight. Receives, records, sorts, transports, controls, and processes all incoming and outgoing special services mail, i.e. registered, express, certified, insured, and other various extra service articles personally through the window to the addressee/authorized agent and to various organizations and mailrooms designated mail orderlies and mail clerks.
• Provides expedient and complete mail like matter services sent via commercial carriers. Responsible for securely receiving, controlling and processing commercial carrier parcels (i.e. UPS and FedEx parcels).
• To provide first-line defense of Mail Security for JBSA customers and serviced activities. Responsible for knowing the characteristics of suspicious mail items and the proper procedures for handling and reporting suspicious mail items to the proper authorities.
• Maintains and Operates as a Unit Mail Clerk. Responsible for assigning and withdrawal of receptacles for TDY, student and permanent party postal lock boxes, changing combinations/keys, redirecting undeliverable mail. Receives, unloads, sorts, and processes incoming shipments of mail trays, parcels, sacks, and correspondence into postal receptacles. Work involves heavy lifting and moving of objects from high and low levels of shelving units.

Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers and fresh or canned vegetables.

Prepares hot cereals, broiled meats; prepares and cooks concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies; makes cold sandwich fillings.

Prepares convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets and chicken nuggets. Some cooks at this level prepare and bake pizza.

Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring and breading; weighs, measures and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; sets up and replenishes salad bar; portions foods for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants in the operation and maintenance of indoor/outdoor recreational facilities. Issues horses/mules and assist in the saddling and unsaddling. Newly-hired mathematicians and mathematical statisticians begin their careers in the Mathematics Development Program (MDP). The goal of the three-year MDP is to provide on-the-job training in the broad range of mathematical and statistical sciences at NSA. This is primarily accomplished through 6-month tours in NSA offices of the MDP participant's choosing. Mentorship is provided for each tour and participants work on real mission problems.

MDP members also study cryptologic mathematics, statistical data mining, and related subjects in courses taught by Agency experts. Participants are required to develop skills in programming and using computational resources to solve mission problems. Various short-term and long-term travel opportunities exist for interested participants but are not required. MDP members are able to take advantage of other professional development opportunities available at NSA as well. This includes continuing education opportunities and optional Agency courses in everything from professional communication to goal setting to machine learning. Career mentorship and participation in professional networks such as WIMS (Women in the Mathematical Sciences) are strongly supported. • As an Executive Support Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
