You will also be required to assist in preparing discharge letters, Initiation/change of treatment and discussions with relatives. Responsibilities include routine examination of the newborn and care of babies in the neonatal unit, attending at risk deliveries and on the post-natal wards. There will be adequate support and supervision from middle grade doctors and consultants. The post holder will participate in the tier 1 on call rota. When on-call you will be expected to carry the emergency bleep and attend to calls.
