The Service User

This is a young paediatric package looking for someone confident to provide care based around the following:

• Dual Lumen Tracheostomies
• PEG Feeding
• Cerebral Palsy(With developmental delay)
• Tissue Viability
• Challenging Behaviours
• Epileptic seizures via Lennox Gastaut Syndrome

About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who can support in and around the Weymouth area, to support across two young male service users who has a PEG, Learning Disabilities,Atresia of airways,Oxygen and other complex needs. Our Healthcare Assistant roles are also doubled up as a companionship role by building up key relationships and promoting independence through daily tasks for our service user within his own home environment and especially within the community.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Immunology Department of our ISO15189:2012 accredited laboratory at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. We provide diagnostic and monitoring services to patients across a wide geographical area and support our acute services across both the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole General Hospital within the Trust.

The One Dorset Pathology service will bring together Dorset County Hospital, Poole Hospital and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals to deliver a single, efficient and high-quality pathology service. It will provide clinicians, patients and carers with a consistent and high standard of service across the area and maximise efficiency in the use of resources. The new service is a formal collaboration and is included in one of the 29 national pathology networks known as the ‘South 6’ network that includes: Hampshire Hospitals, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Salisbury and Southampton.

To be a point of contact and source of advice for relatives of deceased patients, healthcare professionals, coroner and registration services. The Medical Examiner Officer will be part of an existing team acting as experts in death certification and scrutiny of non-coronial referrals. There is significant emotional effort associated with dealing with bereaved families.
