Provides administrative support to the Health Service Department.

Assists the Health Services staff in programs, such as transcribing correspondence for Health Services, to include transfer referrals, minutes for the Health Services Committee and staff meetings, letters, and other reports as necessary.

Work assignments provide the incumbent with the opportunity to learn about the overall mission, functions and organization of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Primary responsibilities for an office may include labor management negotiations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, staffing (recruitment, requesting certificates of eligibles and interviewing), workforce projections, Equal Employment Opportunity statistics, the performance evaluation and incentive awards programs, Senior Executive Service program, time and attendance, leave administration and employee compensation.

Work assignments will provide the opportunity to learn the overall mission, functions and organization of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Increasingly difficult assignments will require the student to apply analytical skills, problem solving, coordination, written and oral communication skills.

This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located at the Central Office, Regional Office or an institution within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Observes and/or assists the Chief of Social Work, the Health Services Administration, Unit Manager or Case Management Coordinator in the following areas: community planning, which may involve community treatment placement, state hospital placement, medical hospital placement, or other aftercare situations.

Initiates contacts with patients admitted for various studies explaining the availability of social services and acts as a liaison between patients and community services.

Provides family counseling, individual counseling, and group counseling.

Orients new staff, residents, and consultants as to the role of the social worker.

Prepares progress reports and identifies and addresses Central Inmate Monitoring concerns.

What are the Major Duties of this Position?

Provides direct services through group and individual instruction and training to inmates on a variety of reentry related topics from the approved reentry programs guide or national reentry initiatives.

Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems designed specifically to establish efficient methods for information collections and distribution.

Serves as an in-house resource for other Reentry Affairs Coordinators (local, regional and national) in the BOP regarding pertinent research and outcome-based programs to avoid an unnecessary duplication of efforts and relates relevant findings to assist with day to day operational and long-term planning needs of the BOP.

Prepares and submits reports for the institution, region, and central office monitoring of reentry, volunteer and related activities.

Oversees the institution’s volunteer and citizen participation efforts and is responsible for cultivating and identifying volunteers and mentors to meet the program needs identified for the inmate population.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Responsible to manage system development, implementation and support of EAI applications, including:

• Develops applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user needs.

• Designs and writes code for applications and maintain applications databases.

• Analyzes and edits existing software applications to improve and optimize functionality, fix problems, and enable their use on new hardware platforms.

• Remodels and adapts applications as needed to optimize performance.

• Identifies specific client needs and preferences related to the application.

• Tests applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug-free.

• Installs applications and acts as technical advisor.

• Communicates with relevant internal technical stakeholders to obtain information on project limitations, performance requirements and interfaces.

• Consults with clients in the design phase to determine client needs.

• Produces software documentation following company/client software process and templates.

• Participates in software product review meetings and team meetings.

• Performs any other related task as required.

Key Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related majors

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for proper maintenance of gas turbine, generator and auxiliary systems as assigned by Head or Engineers in-charge
• Perform troubleshooting, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure plant equipment and systems run smoothly and efficiently
• Identify, plan and initiate required actions to maintain the power plants for long term reliability and efficient generation output
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment services, contract labour and ad-hoc maintenance services. Supervise and report performance of contractors to ensure good quality and progress of maintenance works, as well as full compliance with contract specifications
• Liaise, supervise, and coordinate with contractors and vendors on projects, maintenance, repair, shut down, and overhaul works
