Partners with Business Groups to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications. This leadership role is in support of the U.S. Navy Spectral Program. Spectral is a seven-year $1.2B program to provide the U.S. Navy's next-generation SIGINT, EMW, and IO weapon system. The Spectral system is critical to the ability for our forces to fight and win in the increasingly sophisticated and complex EW threats of our adversaries.

You will lead an extremely talented team of software & systems engineers developing the advanced cloud enabled combat systems that make up Spectral, leveraging the most advanced technologies available. Spectral is not only delivering ground-breaking capabilities to the warfighter today, but it is also building an architecture that allows the system to rapidly evolve in the future to always stay ahead of our enemies. 

More About the Role:

You will be the leader of the Distributed Operations & Remote Operations (DO/RO) team for Spectral. This team provides the powerful capability for Spectral capabilities to be used across multiple platforms, and to share information with remote sites dramatically expanding the power of the system. As the IPT Lead you will need to execute project and program management functions such as managing cost, scope, and schedule. But you will also be working side-by-side with your Agile development team leveraging scaled agile practices to deliver software and capabilities rapidly leveraging DevSecOps principles. Program Management experience is essential. In this role an understanding of software development and electronic warfare is also valuable. More than anything you need to be able to rapidly work with your team to understand what they need, help clear the way for them, and ensure they are resourced and that risks are aggressively addressed. Responsibilities include: building new applications, as well as adding features and functionality to existing business applications that were developed on a variety of Client-Side and Microsoft technologies. The Application Security Testing Engineer reports to the Senior Manager and assists with the security testing activities for BMO based applications. What you need to succeed:

What You’ll Get to Do:  

• Work on a small team to develop, maintain, and enhance a complex software system

• Execute the research, engineering, and development of solutions to support operational systems

• Develop releasable solutions in a specified timeframe and budget

• Refine and enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements

• Optimize legacy operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security

• Apply system level knowledge (OS and hardware) to be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions

• Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software system

More About this Role:

• Work on a ground system infrastructure for our customer that provides pre-mission configuration management and post-mission data workflows to support the war fighter.

• Develop automation for rapid system build and test

• Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs

• Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements

• Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)

• Travel onsite to periodically install and test operational systems and updates

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or other relevant experience.

Experience:

Minimum 5 year of experience with Cloud technologies

Required Skills:

• Must be US Citizen and have an Active TS clearance

• Experience with Cloud technologies / AWS certification

• Worked in Continuous Integration pipeline

• Solid Linux system and Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or a similar tool

• Solid understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools and best practices

• Basic understanding of virtualization and configuring hypervisor software

• Basic understanding of distributed systems and networking
