This Executive Assistant position is located Security Operations, Surface, Region 5, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Skill in coordinating and making travel arrangements to include scheduling, itinerary details, reservations, preparation of travel vouchers and pre and post trip reports and other related documentation.
• Knowledge and experience with computer software productivity programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as enterprise tools such as WebTA and Concur.
• Oral communication skills sufficient to make clear and convincing oral presentations, listen effectively, and clarify information as needed.
• Written communication skills sufficient to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Protects the civil rights of all individuals on VA controlled property;
• Prevents, detect and investigate crimes;
• Patrols assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle;

The team requires an experienced civil litigation lawyer to assist our busy team with a varied caseload including property litigation, highways and general civil litigation (including debt recovery and judicial review proceedings).

There will be an expectation of some supervision to junior members of the team.

Candidates with previous Local Government experience will be ideal as this is a fast paced role and will require the successful candidate to take on an immediate and complex caseload.
