Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, bulldozers, power shovels, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, all terrain vehicles, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems. Makes repairs and modifications to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc., for use or placement in systems for which they were not specifically designed. Improvises work when standard procedures do not apply.

Assists in the maintenance of production reports and records, and makes recommendations to the supervisor. Plans, organizes, and performs technical analyses as required or assigned. I am dealing with a good client of mine who is a large manufacturer to assist them in sourcing an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their site in Ayrshire. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will come from a mechanical or electrical background and have in-depth knowledge and experience in heavy industry with a proven track record in good manufacturing practice and lean principles.

You will be responsible for all mechanical and electrical maintenance work, automation, site projects and maintenance systems on site. You will work closely with operations to manage the sites' production capacity to deliver on the Group's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Lead the maintenance team of fitters and electricians to deliver high performance process efficiency.
* Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills to ensure performance of people and equipment is optimised.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience of asset management, reliability, maintenance strategy, organisation and systems, including planning, CMMS, preventive and condition-based maintenance.

• Proven knowledge and demonstrable experience of delivering horticulture and landscape maintenance techniques and industry best practice including tree and hedge conservation
• Experience of working day to day with external stakeholders with excellent relationship building and maintenance skills
• Used to working with site plans and planting diagrams with a key eye for detail
• Experience in monitoring, measuring, and managing performance and addressing under-performance and of delivering works on time
• It would be desirable if you have a C & G/ National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Horticulture, and if you were an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and working towards Corporate Membership
• Management and H & S Management qualifications would also be desirable but not essential

• Used to balancing a heavy workload and prioritising as necessary

• Strong IT Skills with use of MS Office, 365 and GIS

This is a mobile role with a van and fuel card provided so a driving licence is essential. The area covered by this role is group wide and covers the central areas - Birmingham/ the West Midlands/ Leicestershire/ Lincolnshire/ Derbyshire/ Worcestershire & Herefordshire so you would need to live in these areas. We have group offices in Solihull and Worcester. You will need to travel extensively across all of Platform Housing Group’s new development portfolio, and on occasion respond to meetings outside of work hours.

Monday to Friday- Days 37.5 hours per week.

My client, a nationally recognised energy from waste facility is looking for an engineering/maintenance manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The business continues to grow and the upward trend is set to continue with the industry projected for huge growth in the future.

Working as part of the site leadership team, we are looking for candidates that can meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience leading a multi skilled maintenance engineering team
• Extensive knowledge of engineering equipment and processes
• Previous experience working in the process industry or power industry, including the management of PSSR legislation.
• Previous experience working in a leadership position- managing a team, assisting with maintenance planning, running capex projects and driving improvement across a manufacturing/process facility.
• Condition monitoring knowledge

Reporting to the general manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the site engineering team, with a safety first mindset.
• Drive improvement across site to deliver a world class operational facility.
• Planning and coordinating shutdowns
• Managing the CAPEX project lifecycle
• Full responsibility for the engineering and maintenance budgets.
