A professional and motivated Food and Textiles Technician to join their highly successful Technology team. The successful candidate will be required to support the teaching of Food and Textiles sessions across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will provide day to day technical support, develop and prepare associated equipment, ingredients, facilities and materials for use by the teacher and students whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Previous experience of working in a school and possession of a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given.

Vacancy 2 - Design Technology and Art Technician

An innovative, flexible and personable individual to provide quality support to the Technology faculty with a specialism around Design Technology and Art. The role will include the preparation and supervision of specialist equipment for lessons, preparing resources and materials, providing technical support to the teaching staff and pupils, classroom displays, maintaining a safe working environment, cleaning and resource ordering. The role will predominantly be within the Product Design area of the department.

Whilst the posts are offered on 37 hours per week, part-time hours (30 hours per week) would also be considered.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Minster School wish to recruit to the post of PE Technician. This role forms a central part of the work of the department and they will work closely with teaching staff and other support staff to support, develop and further extend the work of the department and the experiences of the students. The postholder will work as part of the administrative team but will also provide specialist and regular classroom-based support within the PE Department. Through this role, the post holder will develop experience of working within a school setting to support progression on to PE Initial Teacher Training. Candidates will therefore be required to hold a degree in PE, Sports Science or a related field. This post will be available for a maximum of 2 years, with the expectation that the postholder will progress on to PE Initial Teacher Training within 1-2 years of starting the post, either within the Minster Learning Alliance (MLA) or with an external organisation. (A place on the School Direct Initial Teacher Training course with MLA cannot be guaranteed and will be determined by availability of PE places and the postholder’s application).

The PE Technician will provide administrative support and provide regular classroom cover and support to the PE Department. You will work as an active member of the healthcare care team to ensure delivery of a specialist high quality, safe pharmacy ordering, distribution and supply service which reflects National and Local Policy and Priorities, considering the high level of security that must be maintained at all times.

To provide information and advice to patients and colleagues about medication and processes where appropriate.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be part of a highly motivated and skilled team who provide integrated healthcare (physical healthcare, mental health and substance misuse services).

You will support all aspects of the supply and distribution of medications, to ensure the safe, timely and accurate provision of medication to patients

You will ensure that all medications are ordered, via the electronic prescribing on SystmOne

You will be responsible for completing medication reconciliation for all new arrivals, complete ongoing medication optimisation support and reviews and take the lead on safe storage and use of medications
