SALARY: £11.44 per hour

JOB TYPE: Casual / Temporary Contract – this role could require working an additional 4 weeks outside of term-time


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a General Catering Assistant with previous kitchen or Front of House experience, with good communication skills and the ability to follow strict instructions.

The General Catering Assistant will ensure all areas are clean and organised, prepare and pack meals according to kitchen requirements, and assist with the service and set-up for staff and guests.

As the General Catering Assistant you will work closely with the Chef to provide balanced and healthy meals to students and you will contribute to delivering a high-quality dining experience while upholding standards of hygiene, safety and food preparation.

You will also handle deliveries and manage stock rotation.


DUTIES

Your duties as a General Catering Assistant will include:

• Prepare all types of food in line with kitchen requirements or to pack meals as needed

• Assist in all aspects of the day-to-day duties in the kitchen and Front of House, ensuring that the required catering service is successfully delivered on a daily basis. This includes working as an effective team member

• Liaise and co-operate with the Chef manager and the Front of House manager, to follow and respect their request and orders

• Preparation of meals and or packing, observing all Quality, Hygiene and Food Safety requirements


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Kitchen Experience or Front of House Experience

• Ability to follow strict instructions in a systematic and consistent manner

• The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment

• Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
