Our client is a leading European dry bulk owner/operator looking to recruit an experienced Stowage Advisor with prior sailing experience as a Master Mariner on board bulk carriers.

This role will be based in Singapore and unlimited work entitlement is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all cargo handling / stowage related enquiries as arise as part of day to day activity within the office.

• Adopt a leading and proactive role in the work needed to maintain the Company's manuals and other internal information sources as far as they relate to cargo, cargo handling and stowage issues.

• This will entail close coordination with local operational staff as well as the voyage management teams to ensure that all changes are noted and updated plus that new cargoes / new methods are identified and recorded.

• To assist in gathering data and preparing reports as may be needed by the voyage management teams and hold responsibility for, the operation of voyage(s) as may be needed from time to time.

Job Requirement

• CoC Class 1 Master Mariner qualification or a Maritime Degree

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

• Break Bulk Cargo loading and discharge experience including heavylift and project cargo. Wind mill cargo handling experience will be an added advantage

The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.

We have a vacancy for general Porter in in the hospitality department. This role will be supporting the food outlets in the west of campus. As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for delivering and receiving stock, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, operating dishwashers and carrying out daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery as well as setting up tables and furniture.

Work assignments are selected to provide training in the analytical evaluative aspects of the work and in the appropriate use of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and techniques. The training is directed toward the recognition of incipient needs or problems and the identification, analysis and solution of problems. Assignments are selected to combine performance of productive work with supervised on-the-job training in both the judgmental and methodological aspects of the work.

The GS-09 equivalent serves as a member of an audit team conducting systematic performance, financial, or attestation reviews and audits of Postal Service programs and operations, including assessments of efficiency, adequacy of internal controls; compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and/or contracts; and detection of fraud, waste, and abuse. The employee performs assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in the area of auditing.

The GS-9 level is distinguished from the GS-07 level by the ability to work independently to complete assignments of average difficulty. The employee may participate in more complex studies and projects designed to develop broader expertise, including:

• Performing assigned audit functions, individually and as a member of an audit team in accordance with OIG policies and procedures, and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.
• Assisting team with planning audits when there is ample precedent for the work covered by the audit assignment.
• Executing data collection efforts, ensuring that evidence collected is reliable, sufficient, relevant, and properly documented in the project work papers.
• Reviewing and interpreting financial documents, policies, standard operating procedures, and contracts to determine accuracy in accordance with procedures, internal directives and regulatory requirements.
• Applying appropriate quantitative and qualitative analytical methods and tools to collect, arrange, process, and present data.
• Using critical thinking, data analytics, and applied logic to discern meaning of and interpret data and identify risks.
• Producing audit documentation such as internal review reports, follow-up assessment reports, findings, corrective and preventive action plans, internal review scopes of work, process flow charts, and work instructions, to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drafting audit reports and other documents that are clear, convincing, accurate, technically thorough, and appropriately targeted to the OIG's customers' needs.

The USPS OIG is Excepted Service, uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.

These positions are being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS-07/09. The salary range for these positions is $54,728.00 - $87,024.00. The salary figures include locality pay. Review OPM's site for Locality Table specifics: OPM's General Schedule (GS).
