Accountable to the General Manager, and working in partnership with Service Directors and Matrons, the Deputy General Manager (DGM) will support in the operational delivery of Emergency and Acute services, focussing on delivery of the A&E waiting time standards, financial performance, governance, change and business development across the directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring good governance and processes for monitoring delivery against all KPIs are in place.



The Deputy General Manager will play an important role overseeing development of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pathway, ensuring the smooth transition of patients between primary care, ED and Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC). The DGM will ensure this is a seamless pathway at the CWH site and will line manage the Service Managers based within A&E and Acute Medicine to ensure continuity across the entire service within the Trust.



Ensuring the smooth flow of patients through A&E, for any acutely unwell patients requiring admission to an acute assessment unit, the DGM will be responsible for ensuring adequate levels of medical staffing with the support of a team of medical rota coordinators. Furthermore, the DGM will support in the development of strategic discharge pathways in collaboration with the site team.



The Deputy General Manager will work alongside the General Manager in the delivery of the

Directorate financial, quality, performance, productivity and workforce targets, agreed as part of the Divisions business planning, appraisal and personal development process. This post is a key position in the general management structure in the division providing support to the Divisional Director and Divisional Director of Operations for Surgery, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Associate Services (SACCAS).

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, the General Manager will be responsible for the operational leadership, delivery and performance of services in line with expected objectives, Policies and governance processes for service and clinical quality, business planning, financial (Income & Expenditure) plans and budget management. OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND DELIVERY

North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is a medium sized District General Hospital based in Edmonton in Enfield, North London. We serve a diverse multicultural population largely from the London boroughs of Enfield and Haringey. The Professional Support Services team within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust wishes to appoint a Deputy Manager for the Professional Support Services team, which support and deliver the Revalidation, Job planning and appraisal function of the CMO office. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service.

The Deputy Manager - Professional Support Services is responsible for managing robust and effective systems and processes to support the deliveryof the suite of professional support and development services delivered by the CMO Office, including medical appraisal, job planning, performance based awards schemes and other workforce related programmes of work.

As a key member of the service delivery team within the office, the post holder will manage a comprehensive and high quality project and service function in line with national policy requirements while continuing to meet the changing needs of the Trust’s medical and dental professionals. Your new company
A national cleaning company with a strong reputation in the market is looking for a Cleaning Manager to oversee the day to day management of the cleaning staff based in York on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Your new role will be to ensure the cleaning operatives (40) are allocated efficiently to relevant sites for the day / week, you will be a good motivator and able to use your own initiative whilst working quickly and productively. You will take pride in the high level of service given to customers.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a relevant background in domestic or commercial cleaning, have supervisory / managerial experience in the industry or a relatable sector. You will be comfortable overseeing 35-45 staff members at any one time, being able to provide constructive feedback when necessary. You will be able to motivate the team to provide excellent customer service at all times. UK Driving licence

We are excited to recruit an experienced healthcare leader to join UCLH as General Manager for Head & Neck and Thoracic Surgery. This is a pivotal role within a fast-paced department. It is ideal for a confident and ambitious operational manager wishing to join a highly dedicated award-winning MDT team.

As a senior member of the management team, you proactively identify and drive improvement opportunities. This work will cover a wide range of services and challenges in the inpatient and outpatient settings, within our medical and administrative teams. The post demands a comprehensive understanding of cancer performance as well as a passion for managing advances in treatment pathways. You will operationally lead the delivery of urgent cancer care across the North Central London and North East London Cancer Networks.

Excellent HR, financial and performance management skills will be essential to the job, and we are also looking for creativity, energy and compassion. Leading on change management will also be paramount for the post holder to achieve improvement in process and patient outcomes.

Successful candidates will have substantial service development and staff management experience. Other skills will include a high level of emotional intelligence, brilliant communication team-working and organisation skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.

Service Improvement
Drive continuous service improvements to ensure high-quality care, strong financial performance, and efficient delivery. Collaborate with senior leaders to meet national targets and lead strategic projects.

Cancer and RTT Performance
Lead performance management for Head & Neck and Thoracic surgery, ensuring all internal and external performance targets are met. Embed learning from breaches.

Financial Management
Manage service budgets, ensuring optimal resource use and maintaining financial control. Monitor financial and performance targets, addressing variances and coordinating with other budget holders. Identify CIP and revenue opportunities, and lead the cost pressure processes.

Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with partners in NCL/NEL, chair meetings, and ensure SLAs and job planning are aligned to improve patient pathways and experience.
