Mobile Fire & Security Engineer needed in Bristol

Our client is one of UK's leading providers of Fire & Security Engineering & Facilities Management specialists in the provision of tailored and bespoke engineering services to a varied, blue-chip client base to include Industrial, Commercial, Corporate & Government environments respectively.

A Mobile Fire & Security Technician is required to carry out small-works installation, PPM/reactive and modifications to fire & security infrastructure systems to include (not limited to) access control, CCTV & intruder alarm systems within commercial, corporate and industrial facilities located in the London region (ideally we are looking for candidates in or close to South London).

Candidate Requirements & Additional Information

• Hold relevant qualifications & further training commensurate with a Fire & Security Technician i.e. FIA Units 1, 4 & 5 and possess a recognised apprenticeship
• Experience in the installation/commissioning & PPM of fire & security infrastructure systems as outlined above within commercial, corporate, retail & industrial environments.
• Driving License (Maximum of 6 Penalty Points)
• The ability to work as part of a call-out rota

The successful applicant will be a doctor wishing to develop their skills and knowledge of general medicine. The successful appointee will join the general medical team delivering high quality General Internal and Acute Medical Care to our patients. The post will support the care of General Internal Medicine in-patients on our General Internal Medicine ward and our multiple different outlying wards within the hospital. The post will also provide rotational opportunities to work on our Medicine Wards, this will include possible opportunities to work within Care of the Elderly, Diabetes and Endocrine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Clinical: ward-based duties to include routine review of patients, progressing care, prescribing, requesting and evaluating relevant tests, liaising with all medical and allied health professionals. There will also be opportunities for a clinic commitment with the Acute Medicine Clinic.

Education: there are educational opportunities throughout the working week including educational meetings, general medical grand round and core training.

This post would give excellent experience prior to an application for higher training in Respiratory, Acute or Care of the Elderly Medicine. It would also be a great opportunity for a candidate interested in GP training to gain additional skills or a special interest. The post will be whole-time (part time or job share will be considered, please contact to discuss).

Clinical and Supervision
• The post holder will be expected to carry out ward-based duties, to include routine review of patients, progressing care, prescribing, requesting and evaluating relevant tests, liaising with all medical and allied health professionals.
• There will also be opportunity to attend specialty outpatient clinics. The post-holders will have a Consultant Clinical Supervisor and encouraged to follow the training curriculum, including participation in appraisal.

Managerial
• The management responsibility of the post holder will be to the Clinical Director for Medicine who is responsible to the Chief Executive and Trust Board.

Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
• The post holder must be aware of clinical governance and clinical risk management and take an active part in their implementation, including audit. Clinical audit is established at the BRI.
• Participate in at least one supervised audit project during the post and will be encouraged to attend interdisciplinary clinical governance meetings.

On-Call Commitment

The successful applicant may have the option to join the existing medical CMT on-call rota throughout the post, however this is only by arrangement and availability.

Undertaking fire door installations and upgrades

What will you bring as an FRA Carpenter?


Qualified with NVQ level 2 in Carpentry or able to demonstrate the level of skills and experience required to be successful in the role

Demonstrable previous experience in completing passive fire protection work in a domestic setting
Possession of a full current UK Driving licence is essential to undertake the FRA Carpenter role, with the use of your own vehicle for commuting.

About The Role
Purpose of the Role: Ensure that excellent housekeeping and hygiene standards are actively maintained throughout the Cribbs Causeway

venues under the direction of the Managers and Supervisory team. To maintain company standards and work as part of the team,or individually, to achieve specific targets as stipulated by current quality standards and the Client.

You will be working Monday to Sunday, 12:00 to 20:00, 40 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis. Duties and responsibilities:

• To be responsible for cleaning throughout the internal Cribbs Causeway as allocated by the Housekeeping Supervisors, and Environmental Manager (this may vary from time to time).
• To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Environmental Manager.
• To undertake the cleaning of hard surface floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, windows, light fittings, glass, balustrades, stairs and other equipment as specified on the day.
• To use electrical equipment relevant to the specified requirements i.e. suction cleaners, wet vacuum, rotary scrubbing machines, steam cleaners, carpet cleaning machines and escalator cleaning kit, ride on Tennant and ride on Taski machines.
• To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
• To spot-clean spillages and report a spillage through elogbooks.
• To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including benches, plant pots, ledges, white doors and other places where dust settles as specified on the day.
• To regularly clean toilets (Ladies & Gents) and hand basins and replenish necessary toiletries including toilet paper and hand soap etc.
• To wash off dirty marks from wall tiling and mirrors.
• To routinely clean lampshades and light diffusers (strip lights).
• To carry out periodic cleaning of all internal surfaces, back of house corridors, lifts, lift lobby, stairs, escalators and windows, including internal doors.
• Report all defects/hazards immediately to Cleaning Supervisors and Housekeeping Manager and Log a Job through elogbooks and report Near Miss through AW Forms.
• To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment and any other Cleaning Policies in the Cribbs Causeway internal mall and relevant sites.
• Ensure that Cleaning Operatives are observant of any health and safety hazards/defects, correcting them immediately (where possible) and/or reporting as appropriate.
• Ensure that safe methods of work are conducted and that the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) for the respective job is issued to the employee(s) concerned.
• Ensure that employees understand and comply with all of the site security rules and procedures. Any deviation from these must be reported to control or management immediately.
• Ensure that procedures for authorization, procurement, storage, and issue of cleaning materials, consumable items, tools and equipment are followed.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules as stipulated by Incentive FM Management and the Client to meet or exceed customer expectations throughout the internal Cribbs Causeway venues.
• Comply with supervisors' local procedures as directed by the Environmental Services Manager and Environmental Manager.
• Undertake any other duties as and when required throughout the internal Cribbs Causeway venues.

Complexity of the position:

Must be physically fit as manual handling is an extensive component of the role and able to stay on foot for prolonged periods i.e. walking.

Your hours of work are to be as agreed with your line manager and a degree of flexibility is essential. Where working hours are changed as a result of a business or operational need, you will be expected to comply with the new hours so long as no substantial change has been made.

In addition to those detailed above, other duties may be undertaken from time to time and the specific duties of the post may change as the post develops. You will be expected to co-operate where such changes are reasonable.

Conduct and appearance:

You will have extensive contact with the customer and will therefore need to always present a professional image. The conduct and appearance of employees contribute

significantly to the image of OCS Group UK and The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.

Employees must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, pre-used checks, reporting incidents, reporting spillages, reporting etc).

Provide excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level.

Able to work with minimum supervision both alone and within a team to achieve specified standards.

Proactively participate in all relevant and necessary training programmes.

What you'll do: Join us at Derby City Centre (Cathedral Quarter) Premier Innas a Housekeeper, part of the Housekeeping team that clean our hotel rooms. From bedrooms to bathrooms, sheets to shiny mirrors, getting everything clean and fresh on time.

Temporary position

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm or 8am -4pm

£12.00 an hour, weekly pay

- Previous experience in industrial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory

- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and demanding tasks

- Time-management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards

- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in industrial settings

- Good communication and teamwork skills
