About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Carpenter to join our Void and Repairs team to cover the repair of our homes in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent full-time vacancy working 39 hours a week Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm on Monday-Thursday & 8:00am-3:30pm on Friday).

Candidates must have additional skills in plumbing and/or plastering & decorating. We're a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Your new role
In your new role you will be handling a varied caseload of legal expense-backed-dispute claims involving, but not limited to property, construction, and consumer contracts. Other responsibilities in this role will include renewing and advising on legal expense cover, assisting partners and senior solicitors with more substantial disputes, and monitoring and provision of management information to insurer client. You will also be taking part in building and maintaining effective client relationships. You will be supported well in this team and will be encouraged to deal with clients proactively while working on a steady flow of incoming cases.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be either a Senior Paralegal, Legal Executive, or recently qualified Solicitor with experience, preferably in:
Legal Expenses Insurance Litigation, Consumer Claims Litigation, or Property Litigation.
General Civil Litigation backgrounds are also desirable. You would need to have a demonstrable ability to take on responsibility and manage and progress files independently. You will also be an excellent communicator and team player with great client handling skills. Strong academics and experience of running cases from start to finish are also required for this role.

What you'll be doing



- Manage a Team of up to twenty (20) Cleaners ensuring all daily and contractual tasks are carried out and completed as per specifications.
- Ensure all cleaners provide the highest level of cleaning & housekeeping service within your area of responsibility in line with the clients’ specifications and all attendance paperwork is completed factually and correctly.
- Responding positively, politely, and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Supervise a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets/showers, accommodation blocks and amenity areas site wide.
- Ensuring all stocks are ordered and replenished as required.
- Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines used during hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order at the end of your shift.
- Reporting any defects to your Supervisor/Line Manager.
- Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations, ensuring all cleaners follow the same procedures and regulations.
- Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers, near misses or hazards you encounter to your Coordinator/Line Manager.
- All offices, toilets, laboratories, and accommodation blocks to be presented in a clean and tidy.
- Ensure Helpdesk issues are attended and completed satisfactory to clients standards.
- Manage staff performance and work output issues including disciplinary and welfare.
- Any other duties as and when directed by the General Manager





Experience



- BPSS
- Access NI
- Cleaning Experience 2+ years
- Management Experience
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of BICSc standards
- Ability to operate technical cleaning equipment as and when required.
- Customer focused and a good communicator.
- Cooperative and supportive of others.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
