Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities - Office Cleaner:

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Use light and heavy (commercial type) floor (buffers) and shampoo machines including attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo when directed rugs in assigned buildings.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partition, and specified windows.

• Monitors possible defects such as clogged toilets and lights out, and reports to supervisors.

• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
• Performs periodic work: High dusting, leather and wood surface (non-floor) polishing, wall washing, venetian blind cleaning, as assigned by the Supervisor Assembles all necessary equipment Removes/replaces designated carpet tiles.

• Organize and maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) for cleaning products, solvents and materials as required. • Daily interior cleaning of the building including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, vacuuming/shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, placing down mats/runners in inclement weather, cleaning up spills, cleaning windows and window coverings, etc., in accordance with established procedures and as directed by a Supervisor

What Will I Be Doing?  

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

• Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand / power tools. 

• “Effectively” communicate with team lead, supervisor, and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations. 

• Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by demands of the job. 

• Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment when required by the job 

• Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints. 

• Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job. 

• Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer. 

• CC- Caustic Cleaners clean process screens with a concentrated solution daily
