We are recruiting for a Housekeeper who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, as determined by the ward sister/charge nurse.
You will be required to work closely with contractors and support services departments and monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies.

To help with cleaning and preparing all necessary equipment’s for patients’ eating and hydration needs and report any damaged or faulty equipment’s to the nurse in charge.
Move food trolleys, machinery and goods in accordance with East & North Herts NHS Trust policies and procedures, whilst identifying and minimising the risks involved.
Refer people to other practitioners when their needs are beyond own role or scope of practice.
To keep the general environment clean and tidy, being alert to possible sources of risks andcross infection.
To check food temperature and serve it to patients in compliance with Trust standards
To order food for the patients in compliance with their wishes, diet requirements and allergies
