job purpose/about the role

The purpose of the role is to work in conjunction with internal colleagues in Operations and Housing to provide a clearing and cleaning service to help turnaround Void properties and maintain Council properties. We are a response service for customers allowing buildings and sites to maintain health, safety and fire standards by removal of fly tipped items and blood and other bodily fluids. A certain level of fitness is required to undertake this manual role.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

An appropriate level of health and fitness to carry out manual frontline service delivery
tasks

Full current UK driving license and the willingness to undertake driving vehicles supplied to transport yourself and co-workers to sites across the City.

Full PVG certificate

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

• Cleaning processes and the use of cleaning equipment and materials
• Manual handling processes
• Working both as part of a Team and having the ability to use one’s own initiative

A property maintenance company who are responsible for the repairs and maintenance of social housing properties, are looking for Carpenter/Multi Trader to join their team working in Peterborough and the surrounding area for planned and responsive works. You will be working in the Repairs & Voids Team completing maintenance work as required by tenants, including carrying out essential reactive maintenance, installation and repair works on domestic properties, and any other duties including multi skilling works associated with your core trade.
