We are looking for a Procurement and SRM Partner to join the Guinness team. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy which is based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.

The main purpose of the role is to develop and deliver expert support in procurement and contract management to achieve value for money throughout Guinness.

• Proven experience of completing evaluations of assets and option appraisals to improve asset performance.
• Financially literate with experience of managing budgets and conducting/commissioning financial analysis.

• A demonstrable understanding of property portfolio management and the scenarios in which assets may be sub-optimally utilised.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Category Manager to join a reputable Public Sector organisation in Greater Manchester on a 3-month contract.

The Role:

• You will lead on procurement projects to achieve optimal value for money on behalf of the organisation
• Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
• Support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure value for money is achieved

You will need to succeed:

• A strong background in public sector procurement
• PCR2015 / FTS knowledge
• MCIPS or working towards would be desirable
• Available at short notice to start this contract

In return you will receive:
£400 - 450 per day depending on experience. This role is inside scope of IR35. The role is working on a hybrid basis, so you have the option to work from home up to 4 days per week - giving you lots of flexibility!

My client, an established and innovation-led business, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Category Manager / Category Management Specialist to join their established Procurement / Supply Chain Team based in North East Manchester.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Category Manager will be responsible for identifying and selecting suppliers to support the organisations ongoing procurement strategy and the effective delivery of cost savings and efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and assess the essential skills, capabilities, and capacity of potential vendors, taking into account their competitive positioning
• Use standard industry cost models and benchmarking analysis to ensure the selection of suitable suppliers aligns with the strategic sourcing strategy
• Collaborate with Finance and business leaders to pinpoint and implement cost-saving measures aimed at lowering the overall cost of ownership
• Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including engineering, planning, purchasing, and sales teams to develop sourcing strategies
• Analyse markets across multiple business lines to organise and improve sourcing processes
• Perform regular supplier reviews, implementing projects to drive the business forward

Requirements:

• Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Economics
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
• Extensive experience within a manufacturing-based business, with exposure to working across various product lines and multiple components & parts.
• Proven Supply Chain Management and negotiation skills with strong technical and financial acumen and understanding
• In-depth knowledge of LEAN tools and KPI's to aid improved business efficiency, cost, and quality control initiatives.
• Extensive experience of preparing and presenting detailed reports to highlight areas of the business where cost savings and improved reliability of supply can be achieved

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement and SRM Partner to join the Guinness Team. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style, working 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home. As such, it is a requirement for candidates to be able to work 2 days per week from the office mentioned above.

The overall purpose of the role is to develop and deliver Procurement, Contract and Supplier Relationship strategies to support business and operational delivery and achieve value for money throughout Guinness.

Our Procurement and SRM team has recently undergone a large and exciting transformation, introducing contract and supplier management standards and support into the purpose of the team. Responsible for operating manufacturing lines, building and packaging product, housekeeping, and personal safety. The responsibilities

• Responsible for processing, tracking, and getting authorisation for c450 accounts payable invoices monthly - ensuring coding is correct.
• Assisting procurement with performing purchase invoice price and quantity checks - ensuring prices and quantities being received match what has been ordered and invoiced.
• Key point of contact for external vendors - liaising with vendors regards missing invoices, change of bank details, payment queries, new supplier set up etc/
• Process weekly and ad hoc supplier payments - Weekly BACS payment and oversea payments in GBP, EUR & USD, ensuring bank details are verified correctly, transactions are input on sage and correct amounts are paid to suppliers when due. Maintaining china supplier information is up to date (Pay deposits to secure order, pay balance once goods are ready to be shipped)
• Cash flow support/forecasting - Keep cash flow reporting up to date, all bank transactions are being processed in sage to match bank statements, Supplier payments are scheduled according to terms.
• Prepare daily and month sales reporting - Sales invoices are created separately in a ERP system, these are imported into sage on a daily -basis once invoices have been raised. Ensure all invoices are imported correctly. Populate template comparing actual sales against forecasted sales to the internal team.
• Supplier statement reconciliations - ensure we have all invoices and dispute any discrepancies with suppliers.
