To ensure the highest standards of quality in the provision of care and support for adults and young people, the Quality Manager will oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement in service delivery.
To work alongside the Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager, in providing robust monitoring and governance systems in ensuring that Salutem locations comply as a minimum to quality performance key indicators and exceed regulatory requirements and support identified locations on a journey towards Outstanding.

- Ensuring there is a consistent approach to best practice in the provision of identified outcomes and as a minimum ensuring all locations are ‘inspection ready’.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards, such as those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or equivalent bodies.
- Conduct regular audits, assessments, and inspections of locations, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- To drive and ensure quality initiatives and improvements at a national and regional levels to assist locations to achieve outstanding and excellence in performance outcomes.
- Monitor the quality of care provided, conducting regular observations and audits to ensure compliance with standards and to identify training needs.
- To provide support and information to senior and registered managers to enable effective responses to regulatory reports.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with external local compliance managers and inspectors that ensures effective and regular communication.
- To work closely with the shared service teams to ensure a consistent and robust approach to achieving best practice.
- To undertake quality assurance assessments and inspections in line with the Salutem Assessment Framework.
- Monitor incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring they are investigated promptly and effectively.
- To keep abreast of landscape regulatory (CQC, Ofsted, CIW and Estyn) changes working collaboratively with colleagues to meet maintain compliance.

About The Role
Work Alongside the Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager, set quality improvement objectives and recommendations for the company that are bench marked against all legal frameworks and external and internal accepted standards, research and good practice and track and report this progress against clear targets. Undertaking internal regulatory compliance inspections in agreement with the Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager and ensure that annual program of inspections is achieved and that responses to significant events or locations that have characteristics of under performing are inspected and supported.

- Promote and implement person-centered planning, ensuring that care plans are tailored to the individual needs, preferences, and aspirations of individuals we support.
- Monitor the effectiveness of person-centered plans, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes for individuals we support.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring that they deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
- Role model best practices in care delivery, demonstrating effective techniques and approaches in working with individuals we support.
- Support staff in developing their practice, providing coaching, feedback, and mentoring to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Ensure that accurate and timely collection of meaningful quality data and reports are provided to the group leadership teams to ensure that an understanding of benchmarks of standards and regulations are present in services.
- Ensure that staff are up-to-date with the latest developments in care standards, regulations, and effective practices.
- Develop, implement and monitor relevant and appropriate action plans in relation to non-compliance and/or poor performance.
- To provide thematic reports to Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager of internal and external compliance reviews including lessons learnt.
- Contribute to policy development to ensure that company policy is relevant to current regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that any issues or concerns of compliance, standards of care and legislative regulations are identified, understood and planned and in partnership with Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager and shared services, implement change where this is required, to a level that meets the outstanding outcomes.
- Working with the Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager to lead on specific projects to ensure that appropriate location development strategies are in place to support the varying complexities of People who use services, incorporating industry best practice and to be a leader in their respective field.
- Develop manage and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in regard to Compliance and Quality concerns.
- Be an ambassador for the group on quality, communicating key initiatives and driving the message of the importance of quality across all sites within the Salutem.
- To ensure appropriate quality has continuous improvement in practice leadership in all areas for the people who Salutem support.
- Exercise strong leadership in a style and manner consistent with the company’s values, ensuring the ever-changing needs of Salutem are communicated and represented.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities, audits, assessments, and action plan.
- Develop and promote an open and fair culture to ensure that Quality concerns are managed appropriately, focusing on corrective action and lessons learnt.
- Secure effective engagement with senior managers, departmental leads, Regional Directors and Registered Managers to encourage cross professional collaboration to enable locations to achieve outstanding and excellence in performance outcomes.
- Identifying areas of service improvement inline Salutem service improvement process.

Regulatory Compliance

- Implement appropriate methods to monitor compliance against UK wide regulation through the use of regular internal compliance inspections.
- Proactively assist Registered Managers and staff, when necessary, in the successful execution of regulatory inspections.
- Ensure that there is a robust system for managing and having oversight on notifications to the regulator and to communicate these to senior managers where this creates an organisational risk.
- Develop sound systems to ensure that all regulatory evidence is effectively collated and updated and accessible at location level.
- Provide assistance and direction to Registered Managers when responding to compliance reports and developing action plans as required with clear timeframes embedded within the action plans.
- Undertake internal regulatory compliance inspections as per an annual program and in response to significant events.
- Working with the Interim Group Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager develop and implement appropriate professional standards and monitor adherence to policies and procedures at all levels within the group to ensure continued compliance.
- Ensure that excellence in communication and engagement of staff, individuals we support, and stakeholders is at the center of everything we do.
- To support and contribute to the development of the quality strategy.
- To support and contribute to the development of the annual quality assurance and regulatory report.

Your new role

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring environmental compliance is adhered to across the Company's portfolio of sites (including flexible power generation, BESS, wind and solar) sites
• Accountable for the management of statutory environmental permit requirements, such as but not limited to, emissions monitoring and reporting
• Responsible for the maintenance of UK-ETS permits and procedures, including annual verifications
• Ensuring all new sites in development or construction obtain statutory environmental permits in line with key project timescales
• Providing key input intothe portfolio carbon reporting procedures (ESOS, ISO 50001 etc.)
• Managing variations to existing environmental permits that may be required
• Maintaining and establishing long-term relationships with environmental regulators and third-party consultants
• Act as internal expert on environmental legislation and regulation and improve environmental awareness throughout the business
• Representing the business at workshops, industry forums and working groups as required
• Carrying out internal environmental auditing and host audits of our sites by the Regulators
• Responsibility for assessing new and changing environmental legislation and providing responses to key government consultations
• Be a key consultee at relevant design process meetings, attending and providing input at all stages of the design process and lifecycle of projects.
• Working closely with key internal stakeholders on all environmental matters
• Travel will be required as part of the role, therefore own transport is essential with occasional overnight stays if necessary
• Managing one direct report who will assist with the above responsibilities

What you need to succeed

• Degree in a relevant field
• Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body (i.e. IEMA, IES, IAQM etc.)
• Proven experience in environmental management and compliance practices
• Demonstrable experience in managing environmental permitting processes, preferably with MCP's and specified generators
• Demonstrable experience in analysing complex analytical environmental datasets
• Greenhouse gas calculation and reporting experience would be desirable
• Competent knowledge of the environmental permitting regulations (installation, Medium Combustion Plants (MCPD), Specified Generators and Flood Risk Activities)
• Competent with new and evolving environmental legislation and policy
• Good general knowledge of low carbon technologies and renewable energy technologies
• Managing multiple projects under tight time deadlines
• Self-motivated, with diligence, integrity, and ambition
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of understanding technical concepts and explain effectively to key stakeholders

Cyber Security Assurance Manager

We have a brand new role for a Cyber Assurance Manager to join our growing Cyber Competency Centre, providing Thales UK business units with Cyber Security expertise.

Reporting to the UK Head of Cyber and the assigned domain Technical Director for the assurance of through-life cybersecurity engineering activities relating to products and solutions within the domain:

Key responsibilities:

• Participating in key technical reviews for all bids and projects within the scope of their assignment.
• Verifying that cybersecurity risks have been identified, assessed and managed within bids and projects in agreement with the delegated authorities for engineering security risk approval in Thales UK.
• Reviewing the principle security artefacts and security deliverables (as defined within the Cybersecurity Management Plan) and advising the security practitioners on the artefact’s completeness and fitness for purpose.
• Maintaining sector based specific knowledge in their area of responsibility.
   
• Overseeing the continued (cyber) assurance activities of products and solutions within the scope of their assignment. This should include all relevant phases of DDQS and in-service assurance.
• Articulating the cybersecurity risks of products and solutions, and the assessment of potential/proposed risk management options.
• Supporting the cybersecurity assurance aspects of product policy and road mapping
• Supporting Business Unit leadership’s cybersecurity transformation, including general cybersecurity upskilling and knowledge transfer within domain
• Assist customers in the routine development of Operational Technology (OT) security practices

Location: Can be flexible on Base location (Reading, Crawley, Bristol, Ebbw Vale, Cheadle, Doncaster, Home Start) ; Circa. 40% remote but will need to be flexible to travel around the numerous Thales & Customer facilities/locations.

What we are looking for:

• A background with Cyber Security Engineering
• Operated in multi stakeholder environments with the ability to influence to ensure right outcomes are reached.
• Experience of guiding complex projects through security risks and mitigation activities
• Have worked with external partners and accreditation bodies
• Experience of applying cybersecurity to OT, IOT and/or embedded environments.
• Ability to apply secure by design approach through engineering lifecycle and in service.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps and opportunities to further develop QMS including writing and implementing SOPs and work instructions.

• Identify and Implement solutions in cooperation with other QA department personnel to improve quality and work efficiency.

• Schedule and hosts client and regulatory audits.

• Report all audit findings to upper management and respond to audit reports.

• Maintain compliance to site Validation Master Plan by working with QA Management and site Operations Management.

• Maintain implemented programs (GMPs, Pest Control, Equipment Calibration, etc.) to ensure compliance by all employees and other personnel in the facility.

• Carry out the company’s Quality Assurance System for the completion of testing services in accordance with client specifications, the company’s standard operating procedures, and regulatory agencies regulations.

• Critically review and coordinate timely QA review and approval of project documentation including protocols, raw data, and associated reports to ensure accuracy of all information.

• Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments and lead compliance for the site.

• Perform review and trending of all Quality Events including Client Complaints, Out of Specification results and Non-conformances/Deviations and Corrective and Preventive actions.

• Develop, train and mentor staff to by sharing knowledge, skills and information with personnel in the Quality Assurance Department and across functional areas.

• Manage and execute site Quality System elements and processes such as CAPA, Deviations, OOS, Management of Change, ensuring that they are completed on-time and properly documented.

• Provide site training and maintain a working knowledge of cGMP, ISO and other relevant regulatory guidelines to act as a resource of information for site personnel.

• Oversee and/or perform all site QA document control/administrative tasks.

• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are being followed.

• Assist with issuance, review, revisions, and archiving of all quality documents.

• Manage the internal audit program.

• Work closely and communicate openly with Quality Management. 

• Reports to the Quality Assurance Director.

• Communicates daily with Site Operations Management and Technology Development Management to provide QA support and understand project deadlines.

Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced global trade professional to join a growing legal compliance team. In this role, you will manage global trade-related procedures and projects while also participating in and supporting the broader Applied Materials Global Trade and Legal & Compliance Organization teams. You will report to the Senior Global Trade Manager for Due Diligence.

Working closely with team members across the Global Trade organization, as well as other compliance and business functions, you drive execution of daily sanctions, restricted party, and due diligence processes around the globe, performing reviews of customers, vendors, and other Applied Materials business partners to resolve identified issues according to established criteria or escalate to senior reviewers, as necessary. The Trade Manager will support the resolution of screening flags resulting from daily ongoing monitoring activities and direct maintenance of appropriate records. The Trade Manager will also contribute to routine audits of screening reviews and reporting metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end reviews of customers and vendors in order to ensure compliance with existing and emerging sanctions and export control laws and regulations.
• Perform daily restricted party screening and enhanced due diligence checks, resolving/escalating identified flags as appropriate, monitoring results, and releasing blocks as needed.

Insomniac is looking for a Ground Control and Headliner Experience Team Member to provide an exceptional experience to headliners. This position will report to Ground Control and Headliner Experience Managers.

              

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome attendees at entrances and make everyone aware of Ground Control’s presence and purpose
• Abide by assigned shift schedule, pump water at the free water refill stations and patrol the event zones at correct times with assigned group mates
• Learn how to operate a two-way radio and perform emergency medical calls
• Listen attentively to the radio and respond immediately to specific calls and requests
• Assist distressed individuals when they are in need of a helping hand
• Memorize information provided by the event website, festival guide and staff guide to share with attendees
• Understand evacuation procedures and locate safe refuge locations prior to the opening of each show
• Provide support at entrance areas using megaphones to assist Headliners with directional support
