The Accreditation and Quality Specialist (AQS) Consultant Nurse serves as a Specialist within the Accreditation & Quality Management Programs. Serves as the point of contact and primary support (logistics such as arranging workspace and meals and coordinating staff for interviews) for site visitors engaged in the accreditation process. Manages processes related to survey readiness, IPEC monitors, SAIL data, EPRP data, tracers, chart reviews, and environment of care surveillance. Compiles regulatory data and communicates information to the Chief of Quality & Patient Safety in a format that is conducive for utilization in decision making, strategic planning and performance improvement. Chairs monthly meetings in support of deploying a systematic approach to readiness and integrating readiness activities in all areas. Incumbent tracks, analyzes, and trends regulatory action plans and monitors for sustainment of
improvement. May participate in root cause analysis, peer review, Lean Six Sigma teams, EPRP monitors, and employee surveys. Works in collaboration with the Patient Safety, HRO, Innovation, Systems Redesign, Risk Management, Infection Control and Utilization Management teams for tracers, chart reviews and QI initiatives. Troubleshoots issues related to quality of care and provides real time feedback to leadership. Responds on site in real time as incidents occur to investigate and prepare follow up reports during administrative hours; follows up next administrative day on occurrences during non administrative tours. The incumbent is responsible for the following: trending and analyzing data, interpreting Joint Commission and other external agency standards, interpreting VHA handbooks and directives regarding quality management/performance improvement/patient safety issues; collaborating with the facility Patient Safety Officer; collaborating and assisting in system redesign processes and monitoring progress of reviews and follow-action items to ensure completion in a timely manner.

The Marion Illinois, VMAC is seeking a full time Quality Management (QM) Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) to join Quality Management.

The QM Consultant has position responsibilities that demonstrate experience, and creative approaches to improvement in quality-of-care outcomes. The QM Consultant demonstrates performance that improves the care for a group of patients. The QM Consultant is responsible for the documented outcomes at the program level. Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FIDC-insured institutions' compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending.
