We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics from January 2025. The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 with an opportunity to teach A Level for the right candidate. The position is open to ECTs as well as more experienced colleagues.

The mathematics department is a high performing department with a strong team. There are currently eight full-time teachers, one part-time, a Teaching Assistant and one part-time intervention tutor within the department. Students study Pearson Edexcel at both GCSE and A Level.

Salary is between £31,737 and £46,525 pa (MPS2 – UPS3), which is due to rise once the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document 2025 (SPTCD) is released. The school also currently contributes 28.68% (the equivalent of between £9,102 and £13,343 pa) towards you being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated Breast Oncology Research Nurse to join our busy research team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

We are looking for a nurse who has experience of working within oncology and has a drive to work autonomously in delivering new and innovative trials for the breast patients.

You will need to be a registered nurse, with some knowledge of the breast pathway.

Enthusiasm, self-motivation, flexibility and drive will be required to ensure the success of this post. You will be involved in all aspects of the research process from study start-up, recruitment and delivery to close out of a study. You will need to have an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills. Good IT skills are advantageous. You will work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, implementing studies to translate scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes.

You will ideally have experience of clinical research, though this is not essential for the role as all training will be provided. You will undergo a comprehensive induction and full research delivery training with ongoing training in a supportive environment. We are interested in applicants with good clinical experience and a keen willingness to learn. The primary objective of the post-holder is to support in the management, co-ordination and facilitation of oncology research studies. • Work within dedicated clinical research teams, develop and maintain an understanding relevant to those teams.
• Develop and maintain clinical skills relevant to the clinical research area (e.g. phlebotomy, ECGs, vital sign assessment).
• Organise and manage defined procedures, assist with intervention treatments and collect/record data arising from these.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.

We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
