South London Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) is looking for an enthusiastic Research Nurse to join the Agile Workforce team.

NHS England’s Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Transformation Strategy (IRLSS) team has an ambitious suite of programmes to help to ensure the NHS is one of the most pro innovation and research systems in the world, helping to improve patient outcomes as well as supporting the UK economy to grow.

As a major part of the IRLSS team’s portfolio the Data for Research and Development Programme is a multi-million poundGovernment Major Projects Programme (GMPP) which aims to:

· Make research-ready data rapidly accessible through the NHS Research Secure Data Environment Network

· Speed-up large scale clinical trial delivery through NHS DigiTrials

· Establish a model for future generation of value for the NHS



The Deputy Director Data for Research is responsible for delivery of this programme working closely with the programme SRO and the Director of Research. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a GMPP programme managing a talented and driven team.

We are seeking an experienced senior leader who has extensive experience of delivering large complex programmes across departments withan in depth specialist knowledge of the NHS data for research ecosystem including the infrastructure, architecture and policy.

The ability to work effectively with key stakeholders including the life sciences industry, academia, NHS R&D community, voluntary and charitable sector organisations is key to successful delivery and the successful applicant will have a track record of building strong collaborations with partners and stakeholders. An in depth understanding of the issues inherent in the use of patient data for purposes other than direct care is essential as is the need to ensure patient and public involvement is at the heart of decision making.

The successful applicant will be an active and visible IRLSS SLT member with proven ability to build high performing teams, fostering an environment for individuals and the team to thrive.

We have an opportunity for a Research Coordinator to join our unique respiratory team at GSTT. Our research programme is at the heart of everything we do at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and plays a vital role in helping us to consolidate and grow on our position as one of the UK’sleading research Trusts.

This is a unique opportunity for a Research Coordinator to help grow the clinical trials service both in terms of volume and quality and support a novel multi-site study for patients with COPD.

The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the wellbeing of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP), Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004 and Research Governance Framework.

The post holder will support the senior trials manager and RAPID trials manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of this novel multi-site research study.
