• Leads three or more Transportation Assistants in the performance of related duties. Monitors work queues, distributes and balances workload in accordance with established directives.
• Responsible for the coordination on all aspects of shipping/storage of goods. Provides customer technical support center, fields calls, emails, social media and other correspondence; prioritizes workflow task queues for action.
• Interprets guidelines and instructions, determines the approach, and adapts the process, to resolve customer concerns.
• Estimates or validates charges, not limited to handling services, temporary storage, third-party services, mileage rates and accessorial services.
• Conducts statistical samplings and audits to execute program oversight of commercial industry.

• Inspects, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests a variety of major aircraft fuel systems, their assemblies, and components on and off aircraft.
• Removes major components of aircraft structure or systems (e.g., control surfaces, fairing, access panels, doors, hatches, landing gear assemblies, engines, activator units, tubing, electrical wiring, control cables, etc.) to inspect, maintain, modify, analyze, troubleshoot, etc.
• Perform test, inspection, overhaul and repair of aircraft fuel components.
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures and controls tools.
• Accomplishes operational and. maintenance record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair. Performs flight line and ground handling operations. Establishes and maintains good working relationships.

• Responsible for Flight Services, obtaining flight clearances, and validating required Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) and other Go-no-Go pre-flight data.
• Provides technical guidance and expertise in the scheduling of the flying unit Special Use Airspace (SUA).
• Monitors substantiating personnel listings, independently determines the status of incoming/outgoing Personnel in Change of Station (PCS), Separation/Retirement, and Temporary Duty (TDY) status, and performs a wide-range of aviation management duties.
• Manages aviation resource programs, utilizing Ad-Hoc reports and the Centralized AF ARMS systems; monitors the resources and training requirements for mission accomplishment and safety of flight.

- Repairs and maintains aircraft. Performs ground handling task on assigned aircraft.

- Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components

- Performs aircraft engine functional test (engine runs), crash recovery duties and be Red X certified

- Accomplishes operational and maintenance record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair

- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. Establishes and maintains good working relationships.

• Knowledge of all modes of transportation for movement of personal property, passengers, and cargo to include factors affecting that transportation, such as public laws, foreign government requirements, DoD policies and limitations/capabilities of the different transportation modes.
• Knowledge of government and multi-service/U.S. Coast Guard transportation regulations, policies and guidelines, including Comptroller General Decisions and traffic management policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of organizational missions, objectives, procedures, and regulatory framework for traffic management programs within which DoD and other federal agencies operate.
• Skill and ability to utilize technical and functional experience with developing and recommending solutions to complex transportation problems and initiatives.
• Ability to communicate/respond to a range of questions from government agencies, activity personnel, customers, commercial carriers, and/or others regarding the shipment and storage of personal property.
• Ability to gather facts and use effective, analytical, and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions. Also, have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
