Duties will include carrying out servicing and maintenance of our large fleet and customer vehicles, including repairs, mot preparation and ensuring the workshop is kept in a hazard free, clean environment.

You must be converse with all modern diagnostic equipment, have excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure using your own initiative

We require HGV Drivers / Mechanics to provide roadside/recovery assistance for vehicle breakdowns, supporting major breakdown associations, covering the West Midlands, Worcestershire & Gloucestershire.

Duties include attending roadside breakdowns, assessing customer needs and requirements, onward transportation recovery to workshops, dealerships both local and nationally using HGV Transporters or Service Spec Lifts.

Hours are on a rostered shift pattern of 4 days on 2 days off then 4 nights on 2 nights off.

You will need HGV Licence with full CPC and tacho cards, mechanical knowledge / experience an advantage, flexible working attitude, excellent communication and customer skills and be motivated with drive and enthusiasm.

Your duties will be varied but will include: - Dealing with field-based engineers via phone and email communications. - Arranging service and repair appointments direct with customers and client representatives whilst scheduling these appointments with the appropriate engineer using our state of the art planning software (Full training will be given). It’s essential that you have a full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address) covering up to 3.5 tonnes (Cat B). In an ideal world you’ll have a clean licence but it definitely shouldn’t have more than 6 penalty points. And, just so you know, you’ll be required to show your licence at your assessment.
