SELF-EMPLOYED VEHICLE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY DRIVER / TRADE PLATE DRIVER PART/FULL TIME

Here at BCA Logistics, we touch over a million vehicles a year, working with manufacturers, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of the UK's automotive supply chain.

Due to our ever-increasing volumes, we are looking to engage additional Self-Employed Driver contractors throughout the UK who can help us deliver that service.

What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.

• Handling vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Keeping clients informed of estimated arrival time and any possible delays.

• Loading/unloading of vehicle, this will be from a refrigerated or curtain sided vehicle sometimes involving a pallet truck.
• Deliveries and collections to and from businesses including in London.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:

Your new role
In this job role, particularly day-to-day supply cover roles, it will see you covering pre-planned lessons for absent teachers or for PPA cover. • Working 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including flex to work one Saturday in 6, as well as installing equipment, you'll also service existing equipment as well as collecting items no longer required. 08:00 - 17:00 shift.
• £11.88 per hour.
• The Service Centre is located in Bicester and from there you will be routed around Oxfordshire. Driving up to 35 miles from the Bicester depot.

Experience working within healthcare equipment or mechanical would be desirable however van driving is the only skill required for this role.
