What Operational Excellence contributes to Cardinal Health
Operational Excellence is responsible for identifying and executing against performance improvement opportunities, enabling successful transformations across the enterprise, and using contemporary process improvement techniques while building people capabilities.
OpEx is responsible for driving change by focusing on customers, employees, and processes resulting in a culture of excellence. Consultants identify and execute against performance improvement opportunities across the enterprise using contemporary process improvement tools.
Location
This is an on-site position, based out of the Greensboro, NC Pharmaceutical Distribution Center
Responsibilities
- Leads Operational Black Belt projects to drive Safety, Quality, Cost, and People improvements/cost savings
- Leads local Kaizen events, A3 projects, and facilitates process improvement JDIs
- Coach Operations leaders to lead Kaizen events and A3 project-based improvements
- Assesses current business performance against Cardinal Health's business strategy for a specific site and/or Ops function, driving the Lean Roadmap to Success
- Works with multiple teams of business practitioners to synthesize findings, develop improvement recommendations, identify benchmark opportunities, and lead execution of initiatives
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to synthesize findings, develop improvement recommendations, and lead execution of initiatives
- Collaborates with customers and suppliers on improvement projects as needed/identified
- Collaborates with Data Analytics and Finance to realize savings as related to site and network facing projects
- Identifies improvement opportunities, defects, and promotes enhancements in SAP, MH SCE, SFDC
- Ongoing DSCSA support for design and testing/pilots
- Investigates inventory health and inventory profiling improvement initiatives to identify potential changes to positively impact the site and/or network
- Leads weekly monthly business reviews with Distribution Centers, Sales, and Customer Service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 5+ years of experience in related field, preferred
- Certified as a Black Belt preferred
- Prior Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred
- Direct Operations Management experience preferred
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution centers preferred
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, or Salesforce preferred
- Strong written communication skills, expected to write business proposals for leadership
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $112,100
