We are looking for a Tax Senior or Tax Manager with US state sales and use tax experience, and who is interested in growing their knowledge base to include direct tax, Accounting for Income Taxes, VAT and other areas. This role will offer significant development for growth.
This professional will be a key asset in the future growth of the company and will be a valuable member of the Finance and Accounting team who will assist in all aspects of Tax, including direct and indirect tax planning, development of processes for indirect tax compliance, and tax provision preparation and review. This role will report to Sr. Tax Director and based in San Jose, California. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Analyze key US indirect tax issues, including sourcing and income characterization
- Review of existing sales and use tax compliance process, and, together with the Sr. Tax Director, develop recommendations to efficiently manage compliance
- Review sales and use tax compliance workpapers prepared by the Accounting team
- Preparation of sales and use tax compliance and / or manage outside compliance service providers
- Review US and global contracts and make recommendations re: appropriate indirect tax treatment, including sourcing and income characterization
- Manage or assist in Investment Tax Credit compliance process
- Assist in identifying information required for quarterly and annual tax provision, and working with outside service provider and the Sr. Tax Director in preparing the provision and related documentation
- Interface with Corp Finance to reflect Tax results in various modeling exercises.
- Work with Legal, Finance, and other groups to assist with business expansion both in the US and globally
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field, or work experience in US tax; CPA is preferred
- 3-6 Years of progressively responsible Tax roles
- Highly analytical with the ability to express tax analysis and outcomes verbally, quantitatively and in writing
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
- Willing to learn new areas and develop new skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
- Able to prioritize workload, work as part of a team, as well as independently
- A multi-tasker with the ability to accurately work in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment
- Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Ranges:
$100,000.00 - $144,000.00
