About the job:
As a Senior Practitioner in Child and Family Assessments based in Oxfordshire, your role is integral to ensuring the well-being of children and families. You will lead assessments, collaborate with professionals, and provide expert guidance to support positive outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of families in Oxfordshire, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Responsibilities:
Assessment Leadership:
Lead and conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and circumstances.
Provide expert guidance to junior practitioners in conducting high-quality assessments.
Collaboration and Multi-Agency Working:
Work collaboratively with professionals from various agencies to gather relevant information and contribute to holistic assessments.
Facilitate effective communication and partnership working to enhance the support network for children and families.
Supervision and Support:
Provide supervision and support to practitioners, promoting professional development and ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
Report and Plan Development:
Prepare detailed assessment reports, including recommendations for intervention and support.
Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop and implement child and family support plans.
Case Management:
Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring regular reviews and updates to support plans.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as necessary.
Requirements:
· 1 year of qualified Social Work experience
· DBS on the Update Service or happy to apply for one
· 5 years of satisfactory references
· Driving License with access to a vehicle
· SWE Registered
