We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Advisor to join our Customer Services Team, to cover up to 3-month secondment, covering the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.

Working as part of a busy team, you will provide a front-line service to customers and staff - in person, by telephone, email and web. Dealing with the public, you will provide advice, interpret queries and re-route customers across a range of Council services.

The Customer Service Centre receives over 150,000 customer contacts a year, across various access channels, and you will be handling everything from arranging a waste collection to processing food voucher requests, as well as taking call back messages for busy departments.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing a high quality, customer-focused service and will work with customers and staff to achieve positive outcomes.

Industrial - Waste Plant cleaner

To control the quality of incoming loads, making sure they tip in a safe manner in the relevant bays and report any issues relating to contamination.

To remove as many unwanted materials as possible from the raw stock prior to its introduction to the Plant and make sure the yard is kept clean and tidy.

• Be responsible for controlling the movement of lorries within the yard maintaining a safe area at all times.
• Ensure all relevant SOP's and SWP's are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure the quality of raw stock piles are kept at optimum levels.
• Ensure that the quality of the processed material is maintained from its storage in the bay until being loaded and leaving site.
• Ensure the yard and weighbridge areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Deal with weighbridge issues & queries as and when required.
• Be responsible for inspecting all incoming loads prior to, during and after tipping.
• Report any issues with incoming loads to the relevant personnel and complete any required paperwork.
• Report any other issues that may come to your attention in the yard area such as H&S, quality, engineering and damages etc, completing any T Cards or other paperwork that may be required.
• Monitor all site waste skips on an ongoing basis and report any issues or exchanges required.
• Remove colour, ceramics, metals, pyro-ceramics, paper, plastics and any other contaminants from raw stock deliveries.

Effectively and continuously monitor all plant processing, sorting machines and screens making sure they are clean and operating to their maximum efficiency.

To respond to any m/c issues, plant bottlenecks or blockages & react to plant alarms rectifying or reporting accordingly.

You should also be able to step up and cover senior plant operators and other plant roles.

Overview:

• Make sure that all landings, walkways and stairs are kept free of debris at all times and that any work being carried out is done so in a manner that does not restrict the safe access to keep effective checks on all plant machines and equipment.

• Ensure all landings and machines are kept clean at all times, any areas that are causing spillage should be reported and/or rectified as quickly and effectively as possible.

• Make sure that at the start and end of every shift the relevant paperwork is completed accurately to confirm that an effective shift hand over has taken place, everything that needed to be communicated from the previous shifts Plant Operatives has been and that the Plant has been handed over so that it can be operated in a safe working environment.

• Make sure that any issues found are acted upon accordingly at all times or reported as required.

• Operate the company FLT as required. (if trained)

• Keep all machines free of a build up of dust.

• Relieve other plant operative roles as required to cover break times and holiday cover.

• Make sure all waste streams are monitored throughout the shift and any adverse variations are addressed quickly and effectively.

• To assist Maintenance during plant downtimes making sure you are either supervised or fully conversant with the task requirements and safety needs.

Accountabilities:

• To work as part of the team, to run end to end payroll process for all organisations, and ensure payroll records and controls are maintained.
