We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager for a large production facility near Norwich. You will support the site services and facilities of this busy manufacturing plant.
Your new role
You will lead the site maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. You will be responsible for workflows, service calls, annual PPM and planned outages. You will be responsible for planning the maintenance schedule and ensuring timely completion of works carried out, delegating any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift, including small projects, and managing effective works.
You will ensure all buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose, ensuring machine availability whilst liaising with shift management, you will ensure routine calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken. Leading a team of experienced engineers and managing contractors to ensure engineering KPIs are met and the site operates safely and efficiently.


What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Engineer with strong mechanical and good electrical knowledge, you will have a strong understanding of health & safety, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, with a history of managing multi-skilled maintenance teams, devising a maintenance schedule with planning for shutdowns and outages.

• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, both in customer services and other departments
• Support initiatives to grow the customer base by occasional outbound calling, ensuring regular customers are being supplied with the best solutions for their needs.
• This is a full-time role, working 35 hours a week between Monday and Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• This is an office-based role for 6 months minimum and following successful completion of probation, there is some flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

You will enjoy engaging with customers and feel a sense of pride in resolving customer queries, displaying a positive attitude and energy. You will be able to operate as part of a close-knit team and be flexible in your approach to finding the right solution. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role previously, with exposure to the logistics industry being a bonus. You must be able to multitask, be organised and be able to re-prioritise your daily tasks quickly and efficiently.Due to the location of this role, you must be a driver and have access to a vehicle.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• Ideally hold 2391 (Inspection and Testing), but this is not essential.
• Experience:
  • Proven experience in maintenance within housing and commercial environments
  • Availability:
  • Must be willing to work 6 Saturdays per year, compensated at an overtime rate.
  • Participate in a 1 in 6 on-call rota, with a call-out fee of £250 per week in addition to base pay.

Compensation

• Temporary Position:
  Competitive hourly rate during the initial 12 weeks.
• Permanent Package (upon confirmation): £37,500 per annum.
