Accountabilities
* Supporting the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team in the implementation of the Group's
management systems for health and safety, fire safety, building safety, risk and technical
assurance.
* Collating data and statistics and generating management information reports for a range of
measures, including:
o accident and incident data
o audit and inspection data
o fire and building safety data
o technical assurance data
* Analysing data to identify trends and potential issues and discussing these with relevant
members of the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team.
* Monitoring the progress of actions raised during audits, inspections, incident investigations and
other assessments and liaising with relevant members of the team to ensure actions are closed
and suitable evidence has been provided and is retained.
* Managing the issue and use of lone worker devices across the Group, including following up on
any "red alerts" raised by users, analysing usage data, generating and issuing monthly reports to
each business area.
* Supporting the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team to ensure they are compliant with
procurement regulations.
* Working with the Health and Safety Manager to facilitate an annual programme of health and
safety toolbox talks, ensuring they are scheduled and delivered and that the required attendees
are invited.
Job Description and Person Specification
* Working with the Health and Safety Advisors to deliver the Health and Safety communication
plan, including posting information and updates
* Supporting the Technical Assurance Manager to manage and monitor the programme of quality
assurance and quality control for gas and electrical safety.
* Administering meetings of the Group's Health and Safety Committee, and other working groups
overseen by the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team, including scheduling the meetings,
taking minutes, issuing actions and monitoring the progress against those actions.
* Supporting the Head of Health and Safety to prepare Board reports and supporting documents.
* Supporting the Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Advisors with the planning and
implementation of the health and safety mentors programme.
* Managing the database of risk assessments and safe systems of work and liaising with the
Health and Safety Manager to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are reviewed
at the required intervals.
