Purpose of the post:

With our academy expanding in size, the successful candidate will be joining us at an exciting time. They will be responsible to the Headteacher at Inspire Academy for teaching in one of our classes (x10 pupils) where pupils have a range of SEMH needs (mainly ASD). They will be delivering a range of secondary subjects and associated qualifications to learners at KS3 and KS4, who may be learning at pre-secondary levels, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our learners. All learners at Inspire Academy have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

The purpose of the post is to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all learners. The post holder will ensure a cohesive and personalised programme of learning and social activities for Inspire Academy learners, in line with the national curriculum. The post holder will also have some pastoral responsibility and strive to ensure strong parent/carer relationships and have strong communication skills.

The post holder will support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in raising standards and improving outcomes for learners, through the provision of high-quality professional services across the school.

What the school offers its staff

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:As of 1st September2024, our Trust comprises 33geographically organised academies (17secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff. Nearly 40% of our academies are judged outstanding overall by Ofsted, versus 15% nationally. The Trust is establishing three‘clusters’ of academies: LAT Central; LAT West; LAT North. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training organisations, a large teaching school hub and is an accredited apprenticeship provider.Our future plans are found in our Vision 2030 document available on our website.
