Provide essential support and empower young people aged 16-21 to live independently, safely, and happily within the community.

THE ROLE
As a Support Worker, you will work within a dynamic team, acting as a keyworker to young people, delivering tailored support packages. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting initial assessments, safety planning, and action plans with young people.
• Supporting young people with essential living skills, including budgeting, cooking, and attending appointments.
• Managing housing and property tasks, including maintaining property standards and ensuring voids are minimized.
• Promoting engagement with education, training, or employment opportunities.
• Addressing challenging behaviors calmly and professionally, adhering to safeguarding protocols.
• Liaising with external agencies to provide holistic support to service users.
• Ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and taking necessary action for non-engagement.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting young people with diverse needs. Essential skills and experience include:

• Knowledge of housing management, safeguarding, and support planning.
• Ability to engage and inspire difficult-to-reach young people.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including de-escalation techniques.
• Experience coordinating with external agencies to deliver support packages.
• Competence in conducting routine health and safety and property maintenance checks.

THE CONTRACT

• 35 hours per week:
  • Week 1: Tuesday - Friday
  • Week 2: Monday - Thursday
  • Week 3: Thursday - Sunday
• 3-month contract with potential extension.
• The pay for the role is £16.57 per hour LTD. The PAYE equivalent is £14.13 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.

The incumbent serves as the Regional Administrator of the Boston Regional Office. Duties may include are not limited to the following:

• Directs, controls, evaluates, and provides technical policy and administrative staff assistance to operational Area and District offices which are responsible for the inspection, enforcement, and compliance efforts through on-site investigations conducted by Compliance Safety and Health Officers (CSHO's) to assure that these are administered fairly, uniformly and accurately within the framework of established standards and policies.
• Participates in the development of and evaluates State comprehensive occupational safety and health plans provided for under Section 18 of the Act under which a State may assume responsibility for the development and enforcement of standards, or certain aspects thereof, which must meet Federal criteria and recommends to the Assistant Secretary the approval or rejection of such plans. Before, during and after the final approval stage the Regional Administrator is responsible for monitoring State operation, evaluating its effectiveness, approving Federal Grants to defray part of its costs and certifying, through a semi-annual evaluation, that the program meets requirements of the Act and OSHA safety and health standards, or in the instance of program or operational inadequacies, to recommend withdrawal of the plan's approval.
• Provides continuing awareness, education, and training programs for the Regional Ares staffs, State personnel, employers and employees, and others in the private sector to increase professional competency and promote a better understanding, acceptance, and voluntary compliance with OSHA's programs and an injection of technical professionalism into the achievement of improved occupational safety and health conditions.
• Develops and provides guidance for Federal Agency safety programs under Section (19) of the Act to assure that standards and other benefits are provided all Federal employees in the Region.
• Participates in the development of and administers special national emphasis or experimental programs where regional resources are marshaled and intensified to approach specific serious and critical industrial and occupational health and safety situations.

This post would provide a great opportunity for someone who has management experience to move into a new area of work or someone with the required housing knowledge to step up into a management role. Even better if you have both!



Every day is different- you will never be bored! You will be managing a small team across two Councils who manage applications for social housing (housing register) and the advertisement of vacant social homes (allocations).



To be successful in this role, you need to be able to cope with conflicting demands and able to calmly and empathetically respond to customers who require social housing. This would include people who are at risk of homelessness, vulnerable, suffering from abuse or living in unsuitable accommodation.



Rehousing is rarely the only issue, and your team would need to provide advice or signpost and refer applicants to other services such as debt advice, substance misuse and housing standards. They will often identify safeguarding concerns which will require an appropriate response.



The Councils receive over 100 applications each week and your team would assess whether each applicant meets the qualification criteria to join the register and for those that do, award an appropriate level of priority to the application as per the Housing Allocation Scheme. Some applicants might struggle to make an application and will require advice and support which could be over the telephone, in their home or at a housing surgery.



Your team would be advertising social homes on behalf of the housing associations, enabling housing applicants to express an interest in suitable properties. The verified shortlist of applicants would then be provided to the housing association who would offer the property to the successful applicant.

Role: Recovery Worker - Crisis & Mental Health

Salary: £23,400, you will add an extra £4000 to your salary by completing 6 sleeps per month

I am actively seeking applications from Crisis Recovery Workers to join an outstanding mental health charitable provider within their Boston, Lincolnshire-based crisis recovery service.You will be a key member of a 24/7 service that supports adults who are in crisis due to a decline in their mental health.
