• Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.

Duties:
The incumbent serves as a Medical Administrative Specialist- Health Administrative Specialist on Duty (HOD) located in the Office of the Chief, Health Administration Service (HAS), or Business Office (BO), or Medical Administration Service (MAS), or similarly named and organized service; the position has both the authority and responsibility to represent both the Medical Center Director and the Chief, HAS on all administrative matters occurring when assigned to other than a normal tour of duty. The primary purpose of this position is to plan and implement work for a variety of financial services including: examination, audit, and verification of PCS and travel related documents; reviewing and auditing payroll changes in the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS); reviewing and recording commitment and obligation data; and maintaining fund control records in the Defense Agencies Initiative.

This position is located in a Federal Bureau of Prisons federal correctional facility, in the Special Investigative Services Office.

Serves as an assistant to the Special Investigative Agent (SIA)/Special Investigative Supervisor (SIS) and is responsible for providing assistance during investigations, developing reports, preparing correspondence, maintaining evidence, and computer support.
