Our client is seeking a Trainee Fire & Flood Restoration Technician to join them on a full-time permanent basis working 39 hours per week Monday to Friday starting on site at 8.00am with the chance to work paid overtime during busy periods throughout the year. It is essential that you hold a full manual driving licence (no more than 6 points on licence) to be considered for this position and also live in the West London postcode area.

As a Trainee Fire & Flood Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for stripping out fixtures and fittings from residential properties following floods and fires, setting up drying equipment, heat pads etc, collecting equipment. In this role you will be fully trained to become a Fire & Flood Restoration Technician, will undergo on the job training, and will undertake relevant courses and certifications to compliment your job.

As Trainee Fire & Flood Restoration Technician, you will have come from some form of builder / labourer / construction type role where you have worked with building materials. Consideration will also be given to applicants with strong customer facing skills, installations of equipment, removals, or similar. It is essential that you have a full clean driving licence and are happy to travel across the whole of the 'West' / 'W' postcode in London areas to customer properties to undertake your work.

In return you will receive a starting salary of £27,000 which will progress with length of service, + £2,000 allowance, accreditations, training etc. You will also have your own works van, 25 days paid holiday plus statutory holidays, pension, career development and much, much more.

The team carry's out memory assessment to identify if individuals have a diagnosis of dementia and supports people with an existing diagnosis of dementia where they may need support. We are based at both Stratford Healthcare and Yew Tree House, Leamington Spa.

You will receive regular support and supervision from the Management and Leadership team. Ensuring that staff are well supported is important in our team. We also welcome opportunities for staff to develop and this will be discussed throughout your time with the team. We encourage staff to utilise their own initiative in order to aid their own development.

Provide specialist memory assessment, pre and post diagnostic support and post diagnostic interventions

For those who meet the criteria for prescription of cognitive enhancers you will titrate the medication to the therapeutic dose

Provide an assessment and treatment/intervention plan to clients who have an existing diagnosis of dementia with complex presentations.

Signposting the individual and/or their carer/family members to appropriate resources in the community

Education of client and carer

Participating in group work

1:1 support

Positive Risk taking

Most importantly involve and empower both the individual and/or their carer to make decisions about their care and treatment now and for the future

You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with post registration experience

You will have experience of working with and conducting assessments with individuals with a diagnosis of dementia or recent experience of working with older adults and conducting comprehensive assessments

You will also have a good basic clinical knowledge of anti-cholinesterase medication.
