As part of the Children and Young Peoples' Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (CYP IAPT) initiative, the programme aims to transform existing mental health services for children and young people by supporting new and existing practitioners to become competent Systemic Family Practitioners. University of Northumbria is passionate about developing excellent practitioners and equipping trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective evidence based systemic and family intervention for children and young people and their families. During this time, you will be trained to provide High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural therapy within a stepped care model for adults with common mental health problems, including depression and a range of anxiety disorders.
