Major Duties will consist of but not limited to:

• Serves as a Consult Coordinator responsible for coordination of assigned consults to include scheduling, discontinuation of duplicate consults, correction of consult errors, handling of no-show consults, ensuring providers have correct consult title set-ups in the system, preparation of consult management reports, contacting patients to schedule appointments, etc
• Monitors patient-access performance metrics, assures timely scheduling and access to care provided by the section.
• The incumbent assists the senior management and attending staff in the educational endeavors of the program to include performing extensive literature searches, preparing Power Point presentations and assembling lecture material.
• Performs a variety of administration functions and assignments to include timekeeping, patient scheduling, answering phones, and check-in desk(s) for coverage.
• Maintains an automated system of program-specific data to track dates on items such as progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies, correspondence, etc.

• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Determines the eligibility of patients seeking health care.
• Obtains and verifies the health records and information for the RPMS Patient Registration System for Medicaid, Medicare, and Private/Commercial Insurance eligibility information for all patients prior to clinic visits.
• Initiates and carries out a variety of clerical duties associated with the treatment of patients.
• Enters and verifies data entry within electronic health systems.

• Serves as leader of transportation assistants engaged in personal property and passenger travel functions.
• Reconciles a Central Billing Account.
• Resolves complaints from employees; refers group grievances and unresolved complaints to supervisor.
• Provides advice and information to service personnel, DOD civilian personnel and family members regarding weight authorizations, unaccompanied baggage allowances, shipping POV, mobile homes, weapons and special items requiring insurance coverage.
• Compiles and maintains information for reports to monitor/manage travel and personal property performance trends.
• Reviews applications and completes passport applications for Department of Defense (DoD) sponsored overseas travel departing the service area.
