The ECG Associate Practitioner role is a foundation clinical role within our healthcare science department and as such the post holder will be expected to be using foundation scientific skills and knowledge to underpin and develop their work. Clinical work will be carried out directly with patients in purpose built dedicated ECG rooms. The post holder will perform, analyse, interpret and compare simple foundation investigative and clinical options, received in routine and occasionally in non routine ways eg ECG Tests on wards and outpatients. The post holder can expect to be following local proformas, workflows and guidelines for patient management, acquired through formal inhouse training. Work will need to be prioritised and escalated in line with department guidance. The post holder will be expected to make simple foundation judgements, involving basic facts or situations that impact on patients. They will be expected to communicate and work with a multidisciplinary professional team, assist ongoing research projects, and contribute to the educational needs of the ECG team and other professions and participate in the Trust training within the scope of the ECG Team. The post holder will be expected to maintain the patient at the centre of all their decision making processes. They will need to behave with integrity, honesty and probity, with good scientific practice as their simple foundation, as well as conforming to all of the NHS constitution pledges In addition to clinical work, the post holder will be expected to assist with other responsibilities within the service, such as stock management, helping with training and working with the rota staff to ensure ECG services are covered, as well as attending departmental meetings. Role Purpose:
Support the Pastoral & Boarding team by providing a safe, caring environment for students. Act "in loco parentis" and ensure boarders have a positive, home-like experience.

Working Hours:
4 days a week + every other weekend (Part-time option available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with students and support their academic, social, and personal development.
• Ensure students follow school schedules, including leaving for lessons on time and adhering to curfew.
• Work with the boarding team to provide high-quality care, following policies on student welfare, illness, and emergencies.

Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities The post holder will work collaboratively with all disciplines as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assure a high standard of care for patient/clients and their relatives/carers, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist. To implement and evaluate delegated Occupational Therapy intervention programmes, including supporting patients with meal preparation. All modifications to treatment plans/interventions will involve the service user and where appropriate the carer. To work with the Occupational Therapist and ward team. Caseload to work with service users on ward S3. To assist the multi-disciplinary team, in offering a comprehensive treatment programme, and ensure that this is updated to meet the needs of the clients. Working under the regular supervision of a Senior Occupational Therapist, the Technical Instructor utilises their technical skills, the OT assistant uses their experience and training, and the skills of the Occupational Therapist to provide appropriate treatment to both individual clients and groups. To utilise knowledge and experience of the Occupational Therapy Assessment process within the content of the specific area of work. In conjunction with the Occupational Therapist to undertake Occupational Therapy assessments to identify needs, leading to formulation and implementation of individual treatment programmes and evaluation.

You will develop and maintain clinical, leadership and management skills in a highly supportive senior team structure working across the ITU, HDU and SCBU clinical areas.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of three tertiary centres for the Eastern Neonatal Network and part of the East of England Neonatal ODN. The unit admits babies requiring tertiary care including surgery and neurosurgery. This modern unit is part of the Perinatal Centre in The Rosie Hospital.

You will be responsible for providing safe and effective care to intensive care, high dependency and special care neonates without direct supervision in any situation. Assess care needs, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care. Participate in the supervision, mentorship and appraisal of pre and post registration staff. Regularly co-ordinate the management of the unit. Coordinate the management of special care, high dependency or intensive care room. Demonstrate leadership ability.
