DECONTAMINATION SERVICES ASSISTANT (BAND 2)
We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Decontamination Services Assistant to join our small friendly team.
The successful applicant will be expected to work in the Sterile Services Department and the Endoscopy Decontamination Department and full training will be provided.
You will be expected to be to follow clear working instructions in order to meet the standards required to deliver high quality care for our patients.
You should be able to work as part of a team and be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing production environment.
Your daily duties will be on a rota basis and will include early and late shifts (between the hours of 0630 and 2200 hrs) and weekends and bank holidays (between 0900 and 1700 hrs).

Decontamination Services provide a vital service to all departments within the Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Community Hospitals as well as external customers.
The Sterile Services Department undertakes the washing, cleaning, preparation and sterilisation of reusable surgical instruments and the Endoscopy Decontamination Department undertakes the washing, cleaning and processing of flexible endoscopes.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in providing sterile reusable equipment for our patients. Whilst there is no direct contact with patients being part of this small friendly team supports patient safety within the organisation.
