Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our Telecoms finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate allocation of costs and recharges between legal entities and specific projects, enabling precise project cost reporting.



Key Responsibilities:

-Cost Allocation: Ensure timely and accurate allocation of salaries and other costs to projects.

-Inter-Entity Recharges: Allocate and recharge costs between legal entities within the business.

-Financial Management: Manage prepayments, post month-end journals, and maintain fixed asset registers.

-Banking Transactions: Assist in resolving queries related to banking transactions.

-Intercompany Transactions: Raise monthly recharge entities and reconcile intercompany balances.

-Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

-Cost Review: Review overhead costs against budget, investigate variances, and explain them in month-end results.

-Central Functions Support: Answer queries from central functions, including cost coding and reporting.

-Audit and Tax Support: Assist with audit and tax queries.

-Budget Preparation: Provide support in preparing budgets.

-General Finance Duties: Support day-to-day finance duties within the department.



Ideal Candidate:

-Skills: Excellent communication, numerical, and computer literacy skills, with experience in using spreadsheets for financial data.

-Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with good time management and organizational skills.

-Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong working relationships within the business.

To work in close liaison with the PA/Medical Secretary to the Later Life CommunityMental Health Consultant Team to provide a full confidential, administrative and secretarial service. To communicate effectively to ensure the smooth running of the service and patient care pathway. To project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for driven commercially aware individual to take up a new challenge in procurement and develop into a confident purchasing professional.

Working in the Indirect procurement team, you will develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manage the coordination and placement of purchase orders for indirect materials and services.

You’ll join a great team in their purpose-built modern facility in Tewkesbury and can learn and progress your career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Placement of purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Establish needs for indirect purchases and services.
• Get involved and manage indirect lean activity.
• Work closely with Senior Buyer to resolve operational issues.
• Involvement in mini projects alongside regular duties

Experience:

• Good negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Strong communication, influencing, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to pick up new tasks quickly.
• Willingness to learn and progress.
