This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) who is looking for the next step in their career. The post will provide excellent exposure in both elective and trauma surgery. The successful applicant will be involved in the care and management of patients in the clinic and ward and in both day-case and inpatient surgery.

The appointee will also be expected to be actively involved in both research and teaching.



In order to be considered applicants must have proven clinical experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics equivalent to 4 years at Specialty Registrar grade or higher. They must also have MRCS or equivalent.

The applicant must have Completion of Specialty Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the UK or equivalent with CCT, and be fully registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application.

• Familiarity with genomic technologies like ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and single-cell methods, preferably within oncology research, though this is not essential.

It would be an advantage to have good data analysis skills and experience using programming / scripting languages such as Python and/or R, along with tools like MATLAB and Bioconductor, however training can be provided.
