Our client, a leading contractor within the water sector, is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to support critical projects within the Southern Water framework across North Kent.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of water infrastructure projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and review detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including civil and electrical engineers, to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during the project lifecycle, from concept design through to commissioning.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site visits to oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally within the water sector or related infrastructure industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, pipelines, and treatment plant equipment.
• Familiarity with Southern Water frameworks or similar utility frameworks is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is an advantage.

The post holder will provide specialist clinical physiology knowledge within respiratory and sleep and will ensure best principles of care are provided to patients at Medway Maritime Hospital and two new Community Diagnostic Centres. The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly and the expectation is that they will be required to work day and night shifts depending on demand. This will also include working across our multiple sites. Additional training will be provided in each area as required. Undertake and perform a range of basic to complex respiratory investigations, such as Full lung function testing (Spirometry, static lung volumes and gas transfer), Bronchodilator reversibility testing, FENO, 6 Minute walk test etc. Including providing a full technical analysis and report of results for medical staff, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of these patients. To independently perform a range of routine, non-routine, and more complex sleep investigations, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep disorders including Overnight Oximetry, Actigraphy, Limited Polysomnograhy and Overnight Polysomnography Studies with MSLT as necessary. Independent full interpretation and analysis is expexted (scoring). To recommend patients on use of CPAP, set-up CPAP therapy and manage follow up consultations in patients with OSA and OHS. This will be in the form of New Patient and Annual Review Clinics Monitor patients who are undergoing an overnight polysomnography study. Ensure that the recordings produced during the study are of sufficient quality to be analysed accurately, and if necessary make adjustments to the equipment attached to the patient during the study. Make judgements on the severity of results, ensuring medical staff are informed immediately of any life threatening or urgent investigation results. Ensure that all the correct procedures for dealing with urgent and non-urgent results are adhered to. Take responsibility for the cleaning of all sleep equipment and ensuring it is kept in working order, liaise with EME reporting and faults and problems promptly. To assess investigation requests, checking there are no contraindications or risks, and to assess patients regarding their fitness to perform the tests.

Our Emergency Departments requires a finely tuned infrastructure to ensure patients receive the investigations they require at the earliest possible opportunity. Many of these technical roles are undertaken by our supporting workforce, including: ECG recording, IV cannulation and phlebotomy, Bladder scanning, Recording Vital Signs, National Early Warning Scores and neurological observations. In addition key infrastructural functions such as:Completing checklists,Checking equipment and replacing vital stock,Supporting staff play a major role in the provision of expert care and quality initiatives withinED.

The post holder will work with the clinical pharmacy team under the guidance and supervision of the clinical pharmacy technicians and clinical pharmacists in providing a Clinical Pharmacy Service in a ward environment. You will assist in the day to day operations of a ward pharmacy team ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided. This includes facilitation and re-use of the use of Patients Own drugs, one-stop dispensing, discharge planning and pod checking and dispensing eDNs at ward level. The role will involve being a practice supervisor in supporting trainee's at ward level.

To support and assist the OH team to deliver the workload in an effective manner. Represent the department at Trust and other agency forums deputising for the OH Clinical Service Lead. The role demands experience in psychological interventions for complex psychosis cases, supervision of other practitioners, facilitating reflective practice and teaching staff psychological approaches in multi-disciplinary teams. Clinically, experience of delivering high-quality assessment and bespoke interventions, with a specific focus on people in distress, related to severe mental health problems (esp. psychosis with co-morbid conditions like ASD, substance misuse, physical health issues) will be required.

The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients complex mental health needs to manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. Across the Community Rehabilitation teams, the clinical team consists of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service.

Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• The senior occupational therapist is an experienced occupational therapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
• To identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
