Senior Administrator Location: Quidenham, Norwich, NR16 2NZ Actual salary: £25,677.70 - £28,683.14 dependent on experience Hourly rate: £13.67 - £15.27 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 4.30pm (5pm on Thursday, extra half hour taken off on another day) Aurora White House School and Aurora Eccles School: We’re currently looking for a Senior Administrator to join our school. You will provide and lead a comprehensive, administrative service to support the smooth running of the two schools. To work confidentially, independently and to prioritise work as necessary and without direct supervision on all routine matters. PA to the principal and wider support to the SLT, first point of contact for student referrals and admissions of new pupils joining and leaving the schools, and the local authorities, external agencies, staff and parents. Part of the Aurora Group, Aurora Eccles and White House schools in Quidenham, Norwich provides day placements for students aged 5 to 16 years primarily with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. . With small classes, a maximum of 10 students and a minimum of 3 staff per class you can focus on the needs of each student. There is a full clinical team onsite to support at all times and you will have the support of an experienced and stable SLT.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career whilst you help shape and develop our provision to achieve this.Key Duties: General Administration Work: Act as first line contact for the Principal and the SLT Diary management of the principal and SLT where required Show absolute confidentiality and discretion at all times Overseeing the day to day management of the administration of the office Oversite of the admissions, Eccles school and absences first calling mailboxes and maintaining calendar of events and bookings Scheduling regular events and meetings, preparing meeting materials and managing attendees. SLT the wider team and all stake holders Provide support and leadership as appropriate for large scale events Admissions Work: First point of contact with the local authorities, external agencies, staff and parents of new pupils joining and leaving the schools. Working alongside the Business Development team and SLT reporting on admissions and pupil numbers in line with agreed budgets Organise assessment visits for pupils and support the organising of open mornings for pupils and parents Assist in completing official returns on admissions, numbers on roll etc. Work in collaboration with marketing to support open days through Eventbrite Management Role: Line management of administration support roles with responsibility for performance management Coordinating and managing reception cover as part of the administration team Appropriate allocation of administrative tasks for the admin support roles, according to the business needs and key priorities Act as a champion for Engage MIS ensuring accurate records are maintained and raise issues when necessary Overseeing the absence process of registering of students
Skills and QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and reports and maintain records to a high standard. Excellent command of Microsoft Office Applications. Excellent administrative skills; Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proven track record of successful support to senior managers. Experience of a busy and sometimes pressurised office environment. Ability to prioritise effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proven discretion, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in dealing with adults and children. Flexibility to work occasionally early or late and at weekends as necessary.
