• To provide and receive clinical supervision and consultation.
• To provide liaison to inpatient wards to consult on the management of people with personality disorders, as and when indicated. This will involve leading the formulation of service wide care plans and managing their implementation

Main Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Responsibilities:

• To provide consultation to GPs in the management of high impact users as and when indicated.
• To be able to provide interventions as a team during the hours of 9-5 Monday - Friday and on call cover at the weekend as per agreed rota.
• To plan workload to enable an assertive approach to supporting clients to remain at home, this may include frequent visits and support with social needs.
• To work assertively with The Campbell Centre to expedite discharge- in line with service wide care plan.
• To be involved in co-delivering structured group based treatments
• To be available to receive clinical supervision from the multi-disciplinary team and clinical supervisors
• To keep accurate written and electronic records, including care documentation and risk assessment, and write reports
• To identify safeguarding issues and demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding legislation and its implementation
• To engage in clinical work that will be emotionally intense and where behaviour and communication might be unpredictable
• To use reflective practice with colleagues and in clinical supervision, to process the emotional impact of the work and remain consistent and constant in the treatment process
• To ensure that continuity of care is maintained and that appropriate and timely plans are made for the discharge of patients from the inpatient facilities ensuring Section 117 and CPA responsibilities are discharged
• To assist and provide teaching to health faculties/other multidisciplinary professionals of the specialist treatment methodology developed within the wider Locality Teams/Complex Emotional Needs Pathway
1. Team Responsibilities:
• To work independently as well as in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
• To work alongside other senior team members in the Milton Keynes Community Mental Health Hub to co-ordinate the day-to-day work, specifically in relation to the Complex Emotional Needs pathway
• To contribute to the strategic development of the Complex Emotional Needs pathway
• To attend specific team meetings, supervision and staff support
• To work in partnership with other agencies (e.g. in-patient units, A&E department, Home Treatment Teams, etc) in planning and delivering care
• Prevention of admission to the Campbell Centre and expedition of discharge enabling clients to be supported in their home environment where ever possible.

• To have a valid Professional registration and adhere to professional Codes of Conduct of professional bodies
• To work with the integrated Community Mental Health Hub Manager, Clinical Lead for the Complex Emotional Needs pathway, and other senior staff to ensure clear communication and co-working within the Complex Emotional Needs pathway and with other services
